Game Description
This is a One Piece alternate timeline in other words the straw hats never got together, though they are likely to still exist somewhere in the world they never formed the straw hats. With that in mind I would like to point out that a number of cannon characters and islands will exist but I will also be throwing in a couple of my own made up stuff.Edit: I forgot to mentio this is a THIRD ED (Aka - DC Adventures) game.
PL: 10 / PP: 150Races: Again I have no restrictions on this, but please be logical about it. If you want to be a Cyborg that’s fine but you are going to spend points on Immunity to fortitude effects, Etc. Free Item: Everyone gets a free Den Den Mushi (Cellphone) why? Because I feel like it. Do I need a better reason?Haki & Kuroseki This will only be available much much later in the game, so for now pretty much ignore it.
Q: If an ATL (IE, no Stawhats crew) and Luffy did exist, would he have become a Marine like his Granpa Garp wanted him too?A: if Luffy does exist I see him as either being a Marine or he would be a part of Shank's/Dragon's crewQ: How would the crew come across the Devil Fruit, or would one or two of them have the option of starting with Devil fruit powers?A: I have no problems with characters that start off with devil fruits after all that part of the fun of One PieceQ: What sort of Devil fruit (and powers) would be off limits? (IE: Magellan's and Blackbeard's)A: I would prefer it if we could avoid all cannon Devil Fruits (Major ones would be a straight up no no, Blackbeard, Smoker, Ace, Croc, Etc.) Mostly because I'd like to use those characters every now and then within the game, In other words homebrew devil fruits would be highly encouraged, but If you really wanted say the soap soap devil fruit I might consider it, I know Logias can be hectically powerful but hey all is fair in love and One Piece.Q: Would the applicants be part of the crew already or would they become part of the Captain's crew in the story?A: The game would probably start off with the characters joining up with the captain then as we progress we may add another player or two depending on how the game looks.Q: For that matter, would the Captain be a Devil Fruit user?A: My Idea for the captain is that he himself is not a devil fruit user however the same can’t be said for his ship, which I have full intention of using a devil fruit for. Namely the ship will have eaten a dragon dragon fruit (If you can already see the implications of this then you should also be able to see that the captain will be a cool character for me to play around with.)Q: If (s)he's not, or maybe is for that matter, how would (s)he feel about Devil Fruit users?A: We'll I haven't come up with any exact details yet but I wouldn't see him having any problems with them.Q: How active are the Marines in hunting down current and would-be pirates?A: Marines and the world government will be the Marines and the world government no matter where you go, so they will be active but you won’t see them every time you turn around, so to speak, but they will put in appearances. (Don’t know if that answered anything but hey on we go)Q: How would you handle Haki?A: Haki... I don’t know I haven't really thought about that too much yet but it won’t appear till later in the game, same goes for Kuroseki.Q: How active are the Fishman pirates?A: Human (or close to it) will probably remain the main race but the other races (Giants, fish people, cyborgs, Moon people, etc.) will all still be active and available for race selection... though I might have to come up with some racial templates, which I don’t really want to do because I hate restricting players from doing what they want to do...Q: As the strawhat crew never came together (this all assuming ATL), that would mean Roronoa Zoro would still be a bounty hunter and could end up being a reacurring antagonist (after getting lost several time in the process while trying to track us down, of course!), correct?A: Correct...Q: Where would the crew start out (IE: East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, etc)?A: I have no clue... yet, I guess that’s more up to character consensus then anything though, If there are more people who want to be from say north blue then we will probably start in north blue, Etc.Q: Would the discrimination, and the occasional enslavement, of Devil Fruit Users still be in place?A: Probably, after all I'd like to keep the universe mostly intact.Q: How well stocked would the Captain's ship be? (Because we all know one person will try applying with a super-hungry Devil Fruit User.)A: I'd say it would be pretty well stocked considering it would be part dragon and all...Q: What kind of ship would the crew be sailing in? Sloop-esque like Going Merry was or somewhat smaller or larger?A: Probably a little bigger than Merry but it will grow as the game progresses.Q: What kinds of fruits are you willing to allow? Logia? Mythical Zoan? What kind of limitations are you looking for?A: As I said early I have no problems with any type really, I know logias tend to be slightly more powerful but considering everyone will be getting the same PP I’m pretty sure things will balance out. The only real limitation I would be putting in place is that I would prefer devil fruits to be homebrewed so I can keep a number of the characters with in the setting the same.Q: What kind of unique abilities are you willing to create/work on? How would you go about it? Things like Diable Jambe, Chopper's Transformations, and Zoro's Asura stuff are not easily translatable, not to even consider things like Rokushiki and Haki.A: If its in the show I dent mind you creating it, hell if it isn't in the show I don’t mind you making it, but the answer for this has already been posted before. The M&M system is well equipped to handle pretty much anything the OP universe can throw at it.Q: Will the islands and locations be at all canon or will you be changing things around?A: Cannon islands and characters will be around though I will likely throw in a number that I just make up.Q: How will you be stating/templating the odd races?A: I don’t know yet, as I said previously I’m not entirely keen on making templates because they are restrictive, though I would expect some who say uses the fisherman race to have good swimming skills and stuff like that. In other words if you want to play an odd race make sure you consider what that races original concept was about.Q: Who is currently Fleet Admiral in your timeline? Same for regular admirals.A: Don’t know yet they could be the same they might change I won’t even know till the story has developed that far, I might just decide to make up a character for an admiral or promote other cannon characters to the spot.Q: Will there be a system for navigation with log poses or will it just be based on where you want things to go and general consensus?A: There will probably be a log pose system but I won’t tell the players that this is guaranteed to be where you are going I might give the players an option between two or three Islands at a time, this isn't going to be a "path of life" game where I just tell you where you are going and you have no choice in the matter.
