Story so far:
In the far future:
Over the ruins of a broken and polluted world, the elite of humanity lives in the skies in massive flying cities called Cradles. On the surface, bitter battles are waged over the dwindling resources of the world by monolithic Corporations, the rulers of this world. Their most feared soldiers are the LYNXes, pilots born with psychic powers and superhuman reflexes, the only ones capable of piloting the mighty NEXTs, large humanoid machines capable of taking on entire battalions of conventional forces alone.
It has been ten years since the last major conflict, the Lynx War, which saw the once mighty corporations Rayleonard and BFF reduced to mere shadows of their former selves. Beneath the veneer of this momentary peace, trouble brews...
The PCs are independent NEXT pilots contracted by a minor armed rebellion called Leviathan, based in the Pacific. In exchange for substantial amounts of loot and plunder, this rag-tag squad of LYNXes have been charged with the destruction of Corporation shipments and assets all throughout the South Pacific.
They have been called to support this nascent uprising and perhaps give the Corporations a taste of their own medicine...
The Question is a short, mission based campaign for the MECHA ruleset by Chris Perrin. More or less, its a beta-test of my rules expansion for these rules based around the Armored Core 4 universe, natch. Can't say there's much emphasis on anything but hard-hitting mecha action and a bit of strategy. Of course, good RP will be rewarded, but not essential...
