A New Summer in Eden
Armageddon has came. A number of large rouge asteroids coming out from deep space has collided into Earth. The land rose and fell like ripples on a still pond, volcanoes destroyed themselves burning the land to ash as they exploded from the force of the impact and the sea sank all it could reach as tsunamis raced around the world. The dust from the cataclysm engulfed the sky and ate the Sun, sinking the Planet into yet another ice age freezing what pitiful souls had managed to cling to life.
And you slept as the world ended around you.
You knew it was coming, known the fact it couldn't be prevented your entire life. You had been raised from birth on this one certainty, and knew that even if it couldn't be changed you would still over come it. You trained and learnt and bled for your chance to be chosen. You watched the people you grew up with, the only people you had ever known, die around you until only seven stood. Then when the climate stabilized you and the seven others from your institute would awaken from cryogenic sleep and step through time out into the New Eden.
