Game Description

The Planet of Tear was once a relatively peaceful world, There was humans, simple machines and weapons, few guns, and no magic. War was fairly common, but mainly between city-states and small nations. The larger nations had stabilized and didn't often go to war. This all changed when the mad scientist Gleemor tried building a portal to another world. Gleemor's machine tore a hole in the barrier that had protected Tear from the other planes. The influx of magical energy destroyed the barrier and tore holes into other planes all over Tear. Tear turned into a war zone that day.

Tear's gods started answering the priest's pryers, sorcerer's latent power flared, ancient artifacts came to life, and long lost places were discovered. Worse, magical creatures of all types were sucked in the holes in the fabric of Tear's planes. These all contributed to the all out war that followed. The wars left Tear a dangerous place, but there was hope. The hero king Iyestix and his armies protected the kingdom of Millerial, and the gunman of Indust protected their mountainous kingdom. These two kingdoms alone survived the wars, all others were lost to evil beings bent on power.

The holes have now long closed, but the effects of them exist. The many of good and neutral races that were pulled onto Tear, usually in groups, have migrated to Millerial or Indust. Though a group of mainly elves, halflings, and good fey carved out their own kingdom in the great forests that exist between the two human nations, naming it Heone, and used a long forgotten elven city as it's capital.

That was one hundred years ago, now the hero king Iyestix grows old, and the evil forces grow stronger.
