On a festive night villagers are dancing about and having their fill of swill and stronger spirits. As parents and grandparents tuck in the youngest of the children they tell them tales to keep them in their beds. They speak of nightmares living, monsters of the darkness, and terrors of the nine hells. As they finish the tales screams can bea heard in the background, followed by the scraping of steel. The through the door burst that very nightmare… in burst you!
Having crowd sourced the idea we have come to the thought of using creatures and monsters under the control of a powerful witch. Ergo you are thralls. Summoned, bound, cajoled, raised or even enslaved you now serve the witches bidding. Plundering, pillaging, feasting on blood and flesh, you have to admit life (or unlife) under the witch’s rule isn’t terrible.
The Basics
This game will be played within the D&D 3.5 system and still a little fuzzy on the levels. I’d like to keep the power to a lower to mid level, were if you break into a village the guard will be a nuisance alone perhaps dangerous if surrounded, the villagers a feast of blood, flesh, and souls! What do you say, do you want to let your monster out?
