Issanara: Gravity Flux
Issanara is a fantasy homebrew world. In addition to the standard fantasy races, there is at least one homebrew one: The Oakenfolk, a race of reclusive sentient trees that periodically roam the world fertilizing the land as they have for millenia.
Issanara is a world with three moons: Kets, Loek, and Vloed, the latter moon having an elliptical orbit with a period of 9 years. Astrologians have long studied the Vloed moon, also known as the Gods' graveyard, believed to be the final resting place of the old ones. During its approach, it streaks through the sky close enough to generate intense heat storms from atmospheric friction for 27 days. The intensity of the heat storms lessen during the last 8 days of its departure and during this period the planet's gravity is slightly reduced. As such, the world's population have constructed their buildings to withstand the effects of these intermittent occurrences. The approach of the Vloed Streak is roughly 6 months away.
