Thamir is a prosperous land with a long and occasionally blood-streaked history. It has been the heart of great empires and the favoured haunt of dracoliches. It has seen many gold rushes and as many schools for magery and combat. Elves have replanted entire forests cut down to build townships and provide cattle with more grazing land. Dwarves and others have riddled the lower realms with tunnels and subterranean strongholds, most now forgotten in the lightless labyrinth. Religions and cults of all kinds have grown and died here, leaving behind a myriad temples and monasteries and shrines. Traders of all races and nations pass through it to reach each other and make their fortunes. Indeed, so long and illustrious a history does it have, that now most of the continent is, one way or another, simply known as Thamir to the peoples of the other realms, where once it meant just a small portion of the whole. This world is known for producing greatness in all things, be it heroes or kingdoms or ideas. And YOU are one such hero who might become so great.
