Star Wars - The Clone Wars:
SABERS of War.

The galaxy is at WAR! A year has passed since the First Battle of Geonosis, and the genesis of the CLONE WARS. Chancellor Palpatine has appointed the Jedi Order to act as generals for the GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC, an army comprised mostly of clones bred to protect the Republic. In opposition, ex-Jedi turned Sith Lord Count Dooku has at his disposal the droid army of the separatist Confederation of Independent Systems with a cabal of Dark Side Force users and other fiendish individuals serving as their generals.

The war has raged across the galaxy, minor skirmishes have evolved into bloody battles and despite the Republic’s many victories, the conflict still lies in a precarious stalemate. Many Jedi have died to preserve the Republic they believe in, and more Jedi have fallen to the Dark Side in the conflict, causing a dwindling of the Order to its lowest numbers since the Ruusan Reforms. Thousands upon thousands of troops have died, and Kamino is more and more hard pressed to replenish them. In response, galaxy-wide conscription has already begun to take place.

With the Republic in more and more dire conflicts from a now protracted and full-scale war, Jedi Master Tholme has persuaded Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to commision a new covert-ops unit to help break the stalemate, and put the CIS on the back foot. They are the SABERS, a highly specialised, highly trained and non-clone commando unit that will be entrusted with some of the most critical missions of the war. Their very successes and failures could mean the Republic’s total victory or absolute defeat across the entire galaxy…
