Dear Pal,
How ya' doing? I've been doing real swell, and I hope you've been the same.
Anyway, I would like to ask you a favor. You know about all the different worlds out there? Well, it turns out that some worlds have gotten together to form kingdoms and empires of their own, and… well… they don't seem very fond of us. Two of them in particular, the Amaterasu Federation and the Holy Britannian Empire, have had their eye on conquering us for months, and have only backed off because they're worried about the other empire attacking them.
So I came up with a plan; I decided to sponsor an intergalactic research expedition into the deepest, most unexplored part of space, under the condition that each nation's representatives would all share equal responsibility. The idea is that, after a while they'd realize that, deep down we all just want to get along. I know it might sound crazy, but then again you get mail from a giant talking mouse who fights shadow monster with a giant key, so what do you know?
And between you and me... something funny's going on out there. Something about demonic armies, a massive empire of bloodthirsty monsters, and a "God of All Overlords" who was thought to have died 17 years ago. I'd go myself, but these days I'm tied up in all the paperwork I've missed.
So, how about it? Are you with me?
