- I seek to conceptualize and develop compelling characters and contribute to well-written collaborative fiction through roleplay. I gravitate toward modern, realistic settings steeped in socio-political and historical context as well as darker, often grittier, storylines that emphasize both metaphysical themes and the psychological development of each character. I am working on my fifth, sixth, and seventh novels at this time, and occasionally use roleplay as a weapon in my constant war with writer's block.

- The pursuit of justice for the wronged, the oppressed, and the marginalized. Sufi music and poetry (particularly from Pakistan and Iran), twentieth-century Serbian history and politics, nominal etymology, the Autism rights movement, inter-religious dialogue and understanding, national security and public policy, disability politics and cultures, American government and politics, religious-justified terrorism, and books that move me to cry.
