- The light arrives, stays with us for some time, and falls below what we perceive as a horizon, yet again. On and on, rotation after rotation, it's the same thing. Nature propagates itself for no other purpose than to continue growing, changing, thriving. Reproduction, replication, mutation, evolution. A beautiful closed cycle that spins like a ball through a void, encapsulated in a safety net that ensures its own survival amidst the endless stretches where there is no recognizable life. Or, so we - the observers - think. It may not be true. It may be. It is irrelevant. The only goal of life is to be alive. We - the observers - think we are above and beyond the thing that has given us any life at all. But without it, we are just more void. The only solution in the racket that we're making is to lie outside of it and continue to breathe. There might be some happiness left, if we let go of all this pursuit of it.
