GM Intro:
I'm Flying Dutchman and have been on this site since about 2009. Recently I've started to take on DM responsibilities and am proud to say my first game has been active six-moths with over 200 IC posts. I've been itching to take on another game and am happy to announce I've found a story and a system to start another successful game with.

Background:
Basically this game takes place in an alternate poke-reality(and yes I did just say that). The concept is that Pokemon have been corrupted by a dark power of sorts and that they have rebelled against their masters and taken to the wilds. This caused much of the world to fall into chaos because of how ingrained pokemon are in human society and the economy. You will live the story of a group of young people from pallet town who will set out into the world to discover what is causing the blight and see what has happened to the other people outside of your now isolated village.


What to Expect: I try to strike a solid balance between combat and RP. I'm looking at about 60-40 RP-Combat ratio in this game. I want lots of inter-character dialogue, talking to NPC's, and working through social situations. I might even work in a romantic interest or two.

I like to give players open ended challenges and let them figure out how to work things out. I don't think railroading players through a series of plot events is very interesting, although I don't want players thinking they have to do all the heavy lifting. I try to set-up a framework of where I would like things to go and let the players decide how they want to get there, setting up obstacles and content for the players along the way.

Players:
All players are young adults(16-20) from Pallet Town. You've all been called to Professor Willow's Laboratory with the promise of work. With times as tough as they have been, none of you refused.

Applications:
To apply, create a new thread in the applications sub-thread in the game forum. You'll all start at level 0, using the standard creation rules as outlined in the PT:A books. You will NOT have a starting pokemon. Further details can be found in the application thread. Feel free to post questions here or in the OOC thread in the game.

Fear not, PT:A is a free system. Just google Pokemon Tabletop Adventures and you should be able to find the books in a few minutes. I'd put up the link here, but I think it's against site rules.

Mostly that trainers don't really exist anymore, or at least not that most people know of.

Yes since most of you would have been less than 10 you will have childhood memories of a time when pokemon and trainers were common place, however most of your teenaged and adult years will be during "the blight".
