Do we have to be accepted in the game in order to use this thread?

Nope. Feel free to mingle, plan and engage in silliness.

How far along in character creation do you want us to be before we can be accepted into the game? I know you had us generate stats, but do you want a full MW linked sheet?

If you wish to start up a character sheet, feel free to. There's at least a week of non-stat-related story to go through once we start, during which accepted players can make/finalize a sheet. Having a character's personality and general role/motivations is more important for that reason.

I had a nice concept for a character, but he would be more of a First Mate. Not sure exactly what position of those you gave he would fall under.

I am open to assigning new (and exciting) roles for the crew. First Mate sounds very old-timey, though. XO (eXecutive Officer) is proper navy and is quite similar.

Those sure are some nice ability rolls, for sure. I had a kid in a Forgotten Realms tabletop game I ran , hell, a decade ago now, who rolled three frickin' 18's with the roll 4, drop the lowest scheme. His character was a complete monster, yet the player was so terrible he got himself killed.. Hehe. And the Bard with a single +2 survived 'til the end! But I digress..

Those are very nice. He will very likely be the best at whatever position and occupation he aims for.
