Description
Standing at an average human height, Gurdy does not hold a particularly menacing figure. His Crimson scales shine brightly in the sun, and his expressive orange eyes tell of intelligence in bounds. He wears a Mithral Chain shirt, though his pants are simple peasant's pants, much mended after time on the road. He wears no boots, not needing any with his steel-like scales. His hair is of mid length, hanging down to his chin, the black wiry strands sometimes having to be brushed out of his slitted eyes. His Thick, muscular tail swishes lazily along the ground behind him. When he smiles you can see he has extremely sharp teeth, and the claws on his hands speak the same tale as his teeth - he's a predator, and He's good at what he does.
Personality
Gurdy has never expected anybody to accept him, essentially working not acheive gain but to make life better for others. he doesn't care about fame or anonymity - it's all about the experience and saving people. He loves to sit down and repair clothing - he usually ha the materials for it, and it relaxes him to do so. he will often be knitting or patching things around the campfire in his room at an inn just to pass the time or think about things. He is also a skilled Blacksmith, and this has the same effect on him.

Gurdy's egg was found in a small town called Vault, left on the base of a statue in a bundle of cloth holding his egg, a signet ring, and a note. He was found by a seamstress Named Charity Ferust, and she tended for the egg until it hatched, at which point she found herself with a baby half-dragon. Gurdy was given the name of a dragon that had been living in the area for the past 300 years both to honor the dragon and as a superstition to provide strength to the baby. For the most part he wasn't accepted by anybody in town, save for the Blacksmith Mogrim and Charity herself. other kids avoided him, so he spent time with the adults who accepted him, learning about what they did. eventually, he became a skilled armorer and Tailor, repairing others cloths for them for a small fee of a few coppers. When he was at the forge he never wore an apron or gloves - he never needed them. His body dealt with heat like it was room temperature, and even sticking a hand or foot into the hot coals yielded little more than a relaxed sigh from him. He produced good work, both clothing metalwork, and his mother and Mogrim both pitched in to provide him with the tools of his trades of very high quality. His happiness ended when his mother was killed by a murderer and rapist. He woke one night to the sound of Chastity screaming down the stairs. Before he could save her though, the man must have heard him get up, for as he reached the bottom of the stairs he found the room empty but for his mother, a bloody knife in her stomach and sanquine liquid flowing freely across the floor With her last breath, she told him she loved him and that the dusty note on the mantle was for him. He opened it to find a signet ring and a note written in the flowing hand of nobles. It said: This is to be handed to the half-dragon when he is old enough to make his way alone I'm sorry for giing you up, but it was all I could do to keep myself in power and give you a life. I truly am sorry, and I don't ever expect you to forgive me, but please, know that I and your father love you very much. -Your Mother In anger and despair, Gurdy threw the note and signet ring into the still burning fire. He didn't care where his origins were, his home was here, and the only mother he'd known in eighteen years was dead in the middle of the floor. So he sat there crying until morning, too angry to sleep and too heartbroken to move. people came later that day, and mistook him for the murderer. he was thrown in prison and would have been hung for murder if things had taken their normal course, but a group of adventurers solved the murder and captured the man who did it. that was the day he swore he wouldn't let anybody else be hurt like he had. He retrieved his ring from the fireplace after that, as a reminder. Released and with tears in his eyes, he watched the man hang in the town plaza before picking up his things and leaving to find Gurdanieloost, a gold dragon living in the mountains nearby. He petitioned to the old dragon to show him how to use his claws in a fight, and for the next three years he was taught how to be a warrior by the Bright scaled one, teaching him by taking a half-dragon form not dissimilar to his own, though there was still a massive difference in strength. After his training was deemed over by his master, Gurdanieloost Gave Gurdy a pair of items to aid him in his quest for good - a chain shirt made of worked mithral and an amulet that would lend power and accuracy to his claws and teeth. Gurdy has been wandering since. He keeps the signet ring on his finger, though he does not flaunt it, and he prefers not to talk about it.
