Personality Traits
Despite his, what many would call an unorthodox upbringing, he still retained a certain amount of respect for authority. He gives respect to those he believes deserves it, and denies it to those who don't. He managed to develop a sense of humor, which was necessary growing up as he did.
Mannerisms and Appearance
One would assuredly say that Yan stands out in a crowd. Even with his short stature, he stands out. This is usually attributed to his almost fire colored skin and the licks of flame that seem to jump almost straight out his head. This is due to the early age at which his element (fire) manifested itself. His looked like it was a little gaunt for his size and weight. Cheeks slightly sunken, eye sockets that are deeper than they should be, he looks almost malnourished, but eats more than anyone he knows. Along with his facial features, he has eyes that look near orange, with flickers that seem to emulate a burning fire.

Aglarond Background - You add Elven to your list of languages known, you add Perception to your class skill list, and you gain a +1 bonus to Perception checks. Born in Aglarond, Yanthil's parents weren't the best. Their names would be listed here, but he himself has forgotten them. He spent his young years in Veltalar, the capitol city of Aglarond. The one thing his parents did do for Yan (as his parents called him, which he actually prefers now to his full name) was teach him how to wield a blade. They were the ones who nurtured his love of fighting and turned it into a real ability. However, despite their one good act, it was not enough to keep Yan attached to them for long. When his parents decided to leave Veltalar, he stayed. Unfortunately, he never quite felt at home anywhere in Aglarond. The Genasi population was drastically smaller than the other races, and Yan stuck out. He never quite got used to being stared at wallking down the street. This is why he decided to leave when he did. He got on a boat bound for Marsember in Cormyr. He thought the trip would take only 20 days, not bad for a trip of near 1000 miles, but he did not know about the 7 day stop over in Alaghon in Sarpa. To pass the time in Sarpa, he pursued work from the council, who sent him out to help deal with a kobold encampment near the town. While here, he found that he enjoyed the work, and also found that the rewards weren't bad either. So, on arrival at Marsember, he was approached by a human paladin, questioning the goods on the ship he was on. Yan, of course, knew that the spices the ship was carrying were legit, he reassured the paladin of this. He must have done something right, since the paladin introduced himself as Beltenebros, and offered to have Yanthil accompany him. Yan, knowing no one in the city, or even on this side of the sea, happily agreed.
