IG-198 see itself as superior to most ‘flesh forms’, and points this out whenever it has the chance. It’s personality would best be described as taciturn leaning towards aggressive. Though not feeling any emotions like fear, IG-198 is very aware of its own existence and will not mindlessly put itself in danger. It has began to mould a personal code that it follows, though this is mutable and ever changing as it comes to understand its existence better.
Description:
IG-198 was originally assigned to a member of the Separatist Council as a body guard shortly before its destruction. During the attack on the Council, IG-198 was caught in the blast of a neural net eraser and badly damaged. Unable to defend itself it was captured and disabled. In the chaos after the attack IG-198 and some of its brethren were ‘liberated’ by smugglers and sold off on the black market. Purchased by a Hutt, IG-198 was reprogrammed to act as the Hutts personal guard, and reactivated. It turned out that he was re-activated using parts of two different IG model processors. However due to a combination of the damage it had already received, coupled with some shoddy reprogramming when it was reactivated, IG-198 had changed. Though at first it carried out the duties assigned to it, it began to internally question why a Magnadroid should be taking order. After a nasty assassination attempt, IG-198 was badly damaged again, some of it in the processor. Progressively a self-awareness had awakened in the droid. During the repairs, as his first processor was reintegrated, IG-198 made a break before the Jawa mechanic could reattach the restraining bolt. IG-198 escaped from the Hutts headquarters, causing more than a little damage and a lot of havoc. He earned the Hutts hatred as a result. The path of destruction brought him to the garage, where he found the Jawa hot-wiring a swoop bike. Levelling the blaster at the Jawa, prepared to kill him and take the bike, the Jawa made a strong argument for his life, and offering repairs to the droid if they escape together. The Jawa, Khen Dhur piloted them to Mos Eisley where he quickly made the repairs and vanished off into the spaceport. Evading pursuit from his ex-masters minions, intent on returning thier masters property, and 'imperial' security who have determined all IG droids should be disabled or destroyed, IG-198 has made his way to the Zel Sonn station. He now ducks the planetary security, as well as the light Imperial security, looking for a way to make credits for upgrades, or merely off this space station to someplace better suited for an independent droid. He believes he has seen the Jawa, Khen Dhur on this station, as improbable as that may be. He spends most of his time in the Cantina listening for opportunities and remaining as discreet as possible.
