Description
Nalthen comes across as a rather plain half-elf, just another face in the crowd, which tends to bother him. Although he's in good physical shape, he's of slender frame and rather unassuming appearance. He's often seen wearing his dusty, greasy overalls in the blacksmith's workshop. With his thick eyebrows and stern, almost brooding expression, most people assume (correctly) that he's a bit too serious for his age.
Personality
Not a man of many words, Nalthen prefers not to be at the center of attention. While usually laid-back and relaxed, his attitude can turn to a certain sense of hostility, if not rigid conviction, when he disagrees with someone about any subject Nalthen feels strongly about. On the whole, Nalthen is fairly reliable, despite the fact that most people find there's something untrustworthy behind his typically aloof appearance. Nalthen generally prefers to be called by his last name, as he finds that 'Belarian' sounds both overly formal and just a little pretentious.
Character Traits
Nalthen is a highly determined individual, almost ruthlessly so. His philosophy can best be summed up as "The Gods helps those who help themselves."
Character Flaws
Not that he shows it much, but secretly Nalthen has a slightly inflated sense of self-importance. He attributes others' success in life often to dumb luck, rather than sheer willpower and perseverance. Because of this, there are some people he doesn't exactly hold in high regard.
Contacts / Friends
On the whole, Nalthen doesn't have many friends, but these are some of the people he's connected with in some way: - Taric and Olivia Nalthen, his parents. They are traveling merchants and generally go wherever business is. They visit their son every couple of months. - The local blacksmith, for whom Nalthen works. - Kailen, the blacksmith's daughter who he sees from time to time but doesn't have much contact with otherwise. - Some of the people of Vale, each with varying degrees of familiarity. Nalthen is still fairly new in town however, so most people simply don't know him.
