Description
Batel is an unusual looking individual for ACN, normally the Headhunter unit is given the opportunity to a plethora of cybernetic implants, and however except for the bare basics, and perhaps some prosthetic fingers for the ones that have been blown off, Batel is flesh and bone. It’s more or less she has a hesitation to using cybernetics for non medical reasons, except her injector cell which was mandatory for the IDF. Batel is a women in her early thirties of mild complexion with Middle Eastern decent, her hair was originally shoulder length black hair but since then she’s occasionally let it grow to about waist length and tied the end of it into a small bun; She has hazel brown eyes though they appear red while she had display contacts on. Batel is constantly working out to keep her body in shape, which explains her athletic toned body. She borders on average height though it’s never really bothered her too much.
Personality
Batel is what you could described as “damaged goods”, she’s a trained soldier down to her bones and even if the IDF has on it’s file that she’s been discharged she’ll certainly not seem like she’s been. The women takes her job as a Headhunter rather seriously, not because it gives her pride, not for a feeling of accomplishment but because she knows that mistakes cost squad mates, and she’ll be damned if everyone doesn’t return to go through drills. However there’s the whole “damaged” part about her, her addiction to Boost makes her rather prone to fits of aggression, for the most part she can deal with it by punching something…like in a gym, but prior to nice facilities that the ACN had Batel beating the crap out of guys at bars that didn’t take no for an answer. Batel also seems to outwardly show herself as a professional, trying to look and act the part but in reality Batel is slowly crumbling from the pressure, the only moment of an emotional breakdown was when she was alone with Vanya Aleksandr, an Overt Bear Moreau and ended up crying uncontrollably in the quiet hallway. It’s certainly understandable when you look at her fall from grace, she as an accomplished military officer with a first rate career ahead of her, but her obsession with stimulants and given the fact she made it out to be a business has caused to not only lose that career but end up disowned from her family and in a business that considered no better by the public than a federal licensed serial killer. Now with all this it seems as if she’s a mental wreck, but Batel can be social, she’s not necessarily into much of what’s going on outside of the Middle East, or Russia but some of her squad mates have found it humorous at how slow in terms of popular culture she can be. Take for example an American Baseball game she was watching with a “friend”, she constantly bombarded him with comments and comparing it to cricket that he almost wanted to leave the room.

Batel was born and raised in Tel Aviv district near the coast of the Mediterranean in the Kerem HaTeimanim neighborhood during the waning years of the terrorist campaign of “Godhand”. Raised by her father Arik, and mother, Perele Tzofiya, both of whom were members of the IDF it would not come as too much a surprise that she and her siblings would also enlist and make a career of the Israel armed forces. As her brothers would become distinguished members of the Israeli Air Force, Batel instead took to the Israel Army and soon was a Captain of her own squad. However, continuous operations in the Gaza Strip in exterminating splintered cells of the “Godhand” culminated in mental stress for Batel, finding a relief from the anxiety she turned to drug use, primarily the military drug “Boost”, under the radar of superiors. The recreation uses of the adrenaline booster lead Batel to unexplainable bouts of aggression, including physical abuse against subordinates for self thought reasons. These moments of aggression lead to an investigation which dug up the fact that she was illegally using military properly; a court marshal was conduced finding her not only guilty of illegal drug use but of also trafficking such military restricted items to the public. Dishonored and Discharged from the Military, Batel was sent to prison for drug trafficking and assault, she should have been there for another 15 years if she didn’t have such an unexpected visitor. He told her his name was Jude Michaels and that he was an intelligence officer for the ACN, she half expected him to pull out a gun and kill her right there, but instead he gave her an offer, either join the ACN operative unit “The Headhunters” or spends the rest of your sentence here. Batel was initially distrustful of Jude, and for good reason too, the ACN had a habit of essentially making operatives expendable if the situation was necessary, as well as the fact it was commonly working with some of the worst people that they caught. The alternative wasn’t really looking that bad, and she probably would have chosen to simply remain in prison, if Jude hadn’t remarked that as a Headhunter operative, she’d be given access to a plethora of recreational drugs. Batel knew he was playing to her past, and she’d be d@mned if she were going to admit it was working. Batel agreed on two terms, the first was that they either get her clean or better give her those drugs they promised, more than likely they’d just keep her a druggie as it would make her easier to control; her second was that when she became an operative to be assigned to as far from Tel Aviv as they could legally. No doubt that Jude was interested in her second request, but he honored both and within a couple months she was released from prison and assigned to Moscow, Russia. In the 3 years of her assignment in Russia, Batel grew a reputation as a professional and brutally efficient tactics operative. She had to admit she was going into unfamiliar territory, Russia had quite a reputation for being overrun by the Russian Mafia, plus the culture, and language barrier it seemed that perhaps that Batel had taken more than she could handle, but she took the task head on: Batel learned to speak Russian, she learned the inner workings of most of the Russian Culture and Underworld. In that time Batel was successful in gaining the loyalty of her squad and they were capable of numerous operations, including a organ trafficking ring, an illegal cybernetic shop, and a cell of cyber terrorists. For the most part Batel settled into a rather satisfied lifestyle, it wasn’t the best but it was better than being in prison.
