The Littles were anything but. Henry Little laid claim to the heaviest family in all of New York. Every one easily twice the weight of someone else their age. Until Olive. Five inches shorter than the next tallest siblings and thin for her age, Olive stood out like a pencil in a jar of pickles. Away from her sizable family, Olive could be seen as the normal kid she was. So while her family feasted, Olive would read voraciously. Not a moment went by that her head wasn't stuck in a heavy tome about foliage in the wilds of Africa or the ruins in the far reaches of South America. If anything of Olive could be considered large, it was her thirst for knowledge. She was often caught on the campuses of the local universities, seeking entrance to their ample libraries. And more than once did she give the staff the chase of their lives. It was then that she attention of some friendly academics.

Buried in a vault of historic treasures, treasures originating from around the world, some thought Olive would be so blinded by her love for the ancient that she'd never notice a war. Instead she was seeking to rediscover lost knowledge that could bring enlightenment to her fellow man. She discovered many practical applications for ancient technology. For one example, during one experiment, Olive arranged a series of light amplifying Mayan crystals in such a way that they produced a super heated beam of light that began to cut through the metal door across the room. She was giggling and clapping happily when they arrested her. Enter Malcolm Ford. The man's grin never left his face. Suave. Debonair. Every woman swoon as he passed. All save little miss Olive Little. Ford represented a group of men and woman that found answers where everyone else saw more questions. Ford arranged for Olive, and her keen eye for detail, to do everything she ever wanted.
