Description
Though quite long do to his tail, Lexi's body is rather small yet powerfully built. His appearance is similar to that of a bronze dragon, only with a horn in the center of his head and dull gray scales. His slightly over-sized head holds rows of large teeth and bleary eyes. When Lexi moves, he seems to do so with some level of sloth. He also wears a particularly menacing smile, or at least it would be menacing if he weren't so small or humorous. He seems adept at making himself look more like a joke than he really is, which works out in his favor: he may be inconsequential as compared to other dragons, but he's no pushover.
Personality
His body may be powerful like that of other dragons, but his glib tongue gets a lot more practice. Lexi can often be found around cities amusing others with anecdotes from the Underdark or convincing the local garrison that he isn't a threat to anyone. When he's feeling particularly pleasant, he will seat himself somewhere people can see and hear him and sing, which sounds more like a bubbly purring that is strange but pleasant to the ears. Having spent the majority of his life in the Underdark, Lexi has learned to speak the language of just about all of its denizens. Some words don't translate well between subterranean tongues and their above-ground counterparts, so some people find his manner of speaking unusual. Still, he can easily get his point across, and his general knowledge of the underground and the creatures that live there are invaluable to any who might desire a little bit of insight. When things don't go his way, he is not afraid to get his claws dirty. In towns, he tries to retreat via flight or simply hide from those who would wrong him. In dangerous situations, he may resort to using his breath weapon, a nonlethal toxic gas that usually disables one of his pursuers. When things get too hectic, he will buy time until he can find a portal and leap through into the Underdark. He tries to use this as a last resort, as the Underdark is not the kind of place most consider a safe spot.

A creature of the Underdark through and through, Lexivhir was born in the Drow metropolis of Undrek'Thoz. Raised as a pet to a highborn cleric in the Nanitaran district, he quickly learned that a tongue like a sharp knife was the best way to stay alive. Not given true freedom due to his role as a pet, he was still permitted into the other districts of Undrek'Thoz because of his innate ability to see into familiar portals. His mistress used his magical abilities to spy on potential threats, and it was a job he proved excellent at. However, the cruel way she treated him did not sit well with the young drake, and he would skimp details if he thought he could get away with it. This would prove to be his mistress' downfall, as after a few years of abuse on her part and neglect on his she was assassinated. Typical Drow politics at work. Freed from his restraints, he was left to fend for himself in the vast underground city. For some time, Lexi made ends meat by selling secrets of his mistress' family to those who would pay for it. It didn't take long before the entire family was removed from power either by bluff or blade, and so he switched to music to feed himself. His unique way of singing found fans in the metropolis, mostly in Nanitaran, though he sometimes found small audiences in Drezz'Lynur and Fyvrek'Zek. Aside from trying not to die, a trial for anyone in Undrek'Thoz, the freed Lexi began to wander the Underdark through the various portals that connect the entirety of the underground. With the power to teleport to familiar portals, he could always return to the metropolis if he got in over his head. His innate abilities allowed him to see far and wide, from the Gracklstugh to a brief foray to Earth's End. Though he has long forgotten the power of many of those particular portals, his knowledge of such places would prove useful. Several years after his apparent freedom, his life would be thrown into turmoil. Someone or something was stalking him through the metropolis. He would occasionally spot bizarre movement at the edge of his darkvision or hear rustling even in absolute silence. He asked his audiences if they knew anything about it, but getting information from a Drow, even a friendly one, was no easy task. He became paranoid, finding higher and more remote places to rest as time went on. Eventually, during his foray into the Underdark, his adversary made itself known. One of the daughters of his former mistress had heard that it was Lexi's fault her family had been ruined and was prepared to do whatever it takes to murder all those involved, starting with him. His mastery of portals made it easy for him to escape time and time again, but it always seemed as if she were two steps ahead of him; wherever he went, she would always find him within one day. Several encounters with his stalker led him to more and more dangerous parts of the Underdark, to no avail. Regardless of the risk, his stalker's skill would pull her to him. He finally deigned that nowhere in the Underdark could keep her at bay. There was only one chance left: break the surface. He knew little of the world above, but he was prepared to do anything to live in peace again. Making his way to the Mithril Kingdom of Iltkazar, Lexi lured his pursuer into the mines of Kazardaern. He had heard of the multitude of traps that littered these tunnels, as well as the skirmishes between dwarves. He would gamble on using these hazards to his advantage as he makes for the surface world; if staying meant death, then he might as well risk death to escape. Sure enough, Lexi was granted only a few hours of respite before the telltale signs of his stalker made themselves known. With as much speed as he could muster, he began flying through the mines, making sure to make his presence known before heading out. He was able to bypass most of the traps via flight, but his luck ran seemed to run out as he reached further into the mines. He had accidentally activated a glyph on the wall that disrupted him and sent the drake slamming into the floor. In the distance, he could hear the drow following him, but also something else from the direction he was heading. Struggling to his feet, he limped forward towards the unfamiliar noise; it certainly couldn't be worse than his pursuer. Sure enough, as the drow caught up to him, he found himself face to face with a gold dwarf patrol. It seemed they weren't too happy to see either of them, but recognized the drow as the bigger threat. As the patrol repelled the assassin, Lexi made his motives known to his potential benefactors. Though they were willing to grant him amnesty, they were not willing to escort him to the surface. The drake was more than happy with this arrangement, and headed on alone. Permitted more time for caution with the dwarves covering his tracks, he was better able to avoid the traps in the mines and head towards his goal. Now close to the exit, he tried to rest a few moments before he left the Underdark possibly forever. It would prove a bad choice, as he awoke not long later to the angry face of his pursuer. Harsh words were exchanged before a battle between the two broke out. Outmatched in almost every way, Lexi used every trick he could muster to get away from the assassin and charge towards his true freedom. Wounded and weary, a final burst of speed was all it took before he began to see light. Bright light. Closing his eyes, he surged forward towards the light, only to be struck from behind by something. His wing wounded, he once again crashed to the ground, but with enough momentum to skid out of the cavern and into the sun. As he opened his eyes, he was greeted for the first time by the sun. However, a life underground and staring directly at the greatest source of light damaged his eyes. Momentarily blinded, he scurried away before his pursuer could properly adjust. Once in hiding, he steeled himself from the pain in his wings and began flying in open air, away from the drow woman who stalked him. The lands of Tethyr would be the first surface land he would see. Flying high, Lexi found himself almost intoxicated on the thrill of such an open place, with so much to see and do. He soared Northeast, through Amn, the Heartlands, and eventually to the Dragon Coast. His travels were long and sometimes hard, but he quickly grasped how life on the surface worked. His adventures led him to the trade city of Westgate, were he would unintentionally begin a career as a minstrel and dungeoneer. The metropolis served well in garnering an audience for him, many pleased with the simple novelty of saying they listened to a singing dragon. His musical talent, glib tongue, fun anecdotes, and knowledge of the underground paid his way. He began adventuring into ruins with random groups that desired his expertise, and his strength quickly rose. Some time had passed. He was enjoying himself on the surface, but a niggling doubt bothered him at all times. During the night, he made a habit of resting in the most hidden and/or inaccessibly places he could, be it the top of high buildings or burrowed in the mud under a dock. He just couldn't shake the knowledge that somewhere out there, that damn drow was still after him. This paranoia would prove useful when, sure enough, she did make her appearance to him just before dawn one night. Much stronger now than before, he still felt outmatched by his adversary and so led her into town before their battle. The noise of their ensuing fight was enough to draw the attention of the garrison, causing her to flee. However, Lexi had enough of this game of cat and mouse and so decided to go on the offensive. He chased down the assassin and disabled her with his poisonous breath. When they were both arrested, he gladly cooperated with authorities. After regaling the garrison with his misadventures with the drow, he was allowed to go with only a fine. Unfortunately, being the city of wealth that it is, the drow woman was eventually let out on bribes as well. It is unknown where exactly she is at the moment, but as long as Lexivhir lives, they will no doubt meet again. Who knows where this little dragon's wandering will take him next?
