Description
Edwyn fits the stereotypical picture of an adventuring hero perfectly. Dashing, outfitted in glittering armor and a flowing cape, he has a strong sense of the theatrical. He seems a lot taller than he is, always standing to his full height and speaking in a booming voice. His title "the Black," originally came from the color of his hair, but now he uses it as his symbol, a coat of arms with a broken black chain on a field of green. He always carries his trademark weapon, a spiked chain, at his side. Edwyn's strange new dragonmark has manifested itself directly over his heart, a fact that greatly disturbs him.
Personality
Edwyn dreams of becoming a glorious and well-known fighter, and so for years he has traveled around Khorvaire, fighting monsters in arenas and in their subterranean lairs, bringing back glory and loot. He has a hundred stories to tell, though how many of them are actually true is anyone's guess, and he can ramble on for hours if left unchecked. His major flaw is his vanity, for he truly wants to believe that he has made a name for himself and his hard times are behind him forever. Somewhere in the back of his mind lurks the fear that some day he'll end up on the wrong side of a monster (that is, the INside), but he suppresses such thoughts under rigorous training.
