Name: Linda Yeoh Age: 46 Height: 5' 4" Weight: 126 lbs Virtue: Justice Vice: Envy Personality: Linda is in a sense living two lives: one she acts out in public and another she takes with her to her quarters. During the day, Linda works the sickbay as one of the chief medical officers aboard The Nocturnus. During this this time she is confident, calm, and efficient. She handles all matters of wounds, cancers, and disease not only from the humans on the ship, but from the supernaturals as well. She treats all in accordance with her Hippocratic oath without prejudice, but with a strong sense of pride and duty. Her position as doctor is one she believes commands respect, though she seldom comes upon a troublesome patient who views themselves as above a common mortal's medical training. Linda treats these individuals with the same quality of care she would treat all others, but is much quicker to flaunt the power and priviledge she has garnered within the medical bay and is not hesitant to use said power against anyone who may think themselves better than she. During the night, after her shift is over, Linda returns to her private quarters miserable and alone. Envious of the gifts bestowed upon those around her. Linda is torn in her view of the supernaturals who surround her, simultaneously admiring and despising them for their power. Linda keeps these feelings of hers very much in reserve, but she would be foolish to think that some of those closest to her haven't begun to suspect her secret wants. Appearance: Linda dresses smart and modest. Outside of the operating room her choice in clothes are rather unconventional for a medical officer, but year's of building clout through a strong sense of duty has given Linda liberties that others are not entitled to and Linda enjoys the use of those liberties. Background: Like most, Linda was born upon The Nocturnus. Her mother worked as a nurse in the medical bay and her father worked in engineering. Both were mortals and seemed content in their status on the ship neither wishing to raise themselves any higher in station. As a child, Linda would look towards the mages who seemed to have all the real control over the ship without doing much of anything as far as work. She would secretly wish harm to come to them for having what she felt she and her parents deserved through their efforts. Despite her perceived injustices of those around her, Linda studied hard through academy and eventually went on to continue her studies in the medical field upon her graduation. When work assignments were ready to be distributed it came as no great surprise than Linda was assigned to sickbay. Linda was ill content with simply following in her mother's footsteps. She sought greater power and wealth for her family. She worked hard to rise in her ranks. She studied even harder late at night and volunteered to assist the doctors in the more difficult cases (concerning supernaturals) as they passed through the offices. Over time, Linda's efforts were seen and rewarded, but nothing ever seemed enough to fill Linda's lust for power within her heart. When one is exposed to all manners of power on a daily basis, a simple promotion seems childish and immature. In what spare time she could accrue, Linda began to study more than just medicine. Books on dark arts and the occult were difficult to come by on the ship, but Linda did what she could to smuggle them into her private quarters where she studied the texts searching for ways to siphon the powers of those she deemed unworthy to control it. Her efforts were largely misguided, however, as she has to this date found no such rituals in her studies. Any other information: Linda is a generally kind soul. She seeks power under the belief that she could do some real good with it. Her job often exposes her to the harm such powers could cause and Linda reasons that she would be a much more successful of arbiter of the powers. As such, she distrusts most supernaturals though will not outwardly admit such things. She is forced to work with and around supernaturals and it serves her no purpose to cut herself off from them. Still, Linda yearns for the day where she could turn the tables on these individuals and pull herself up out of the small insignificant platter on which she sees humanity.
