Rytar emerged from the underdark as part of his coming of age, seeking adventure on the surface. He wasn't sure exactly what that would entail, but he figured that he would encounter all manner of creatures, taste some exotic foods to expand his palate, and learn a little about himself in the process. Unfortunately for Rytar, he set foot on the surface very near to Elturgard, where the Paladins of Torm keep very strict order and refused to let any appearance of drow mar what they had carved out for themselves. The young drow managed to escape their clutches when it became clear that they intended to imprison him for no crime but the color of his skin, and he has been on the run ever since. It wasn't long before he stumbled upon the leaflet for Fallcrest. Not knowing much about advertising, he did not think to take the suggested attractions with a grain of salt, nor did he realize that many of the activities suggested required a fair bit of coin. He arrived in Fallcrest with every intention of going through the brochure from top to bottom and seeing all there was to see...however, it seems that for a while he will only be seeing the dishwasher's basin at the Silver Unicorn Inn as he works off the first good meal he'd eaten in months.
