Levels 14, 15, 16: Vital Assault (Su) Greater: Level 17: Wings of Cover, At-Will Levels 18, 19, 20: Body Outside Body, 2/day Vital Assault (Su): Take 2 points of Constitution Damage to gain Level+5 damage to attacks for a round. Usable as a free action when making an attack. Overwhelming Attack (Su): When attacking, you may strike with enough force to leave your enemies unable to strike back. Opponents struck by your attacks must make a DC 10 Fortitude save or be dazed for one round. You may increase the save DC by sacrificing some of your damage. For every three points converted, increase the DC by 1. On the Blade of Kings' uses: 'It's sharp. Really, really sharp - you wouldn't expect it from such a big slab of rocks and metals, but it has a tested edge that can cut through most things. And while it's extremely heavy, its size works to its advantage when used properly - swinging such a massive weapon around creates a huge backdraft, which can be used to knock opponents off-balance, or when in a state of extreme focus, just send the air smashing against a target. Like any other fullblade, it's a clunky weapon, but this one moreso than most because it wasn't even smelted properly - it's just various materials that were banged together to create a big, sharp stick, so it basically weighs more than Rei does (she's a skinny thing at 100 lb...but that still makes it a bigass freakin' sword). Thus, it has a [I]lot[/I] of force, and can be used very passably as a blunt weapon in a pinch. It's up to its user to overcome the immense weight's imbalance and utilize all three parts of the blade (weight, edge and momentum) to their full extent. It was meant to be used to fight swathes of people at once, taking advantage of the superior reach and weight to slice through a target and have the momentum carry the blade through the next one...and maybe the one after that too. I think that's about it.' --- Quests: -Rise to the Challenge: The Akaff Gantritor is a blade that mighty warriors have wielded, and bits and pieces of their souls have remained with the blade. The souls of the deceased warrior-kings demand that the wielder proves himself to them by defeating challenges when the odds are stacked against him. -Accept the Mantle: Only someone with the right and the ability to rule may attempt to awaken the powers dormant within the Blade of Kings. This could take many forms - leader of a mercenary company, nation's king, guildmaster...so long as the wielder is recognized and accepted as a ruler in some way he can attempt to tap into the powers of the Blade of Kings. -All In: To truly awaken the powers of the Blade of Kings, the wielder must bind his soul to it. Not simply by accident or happenstance, as it happened to most previous wielders, but by tying his destiny to it. This process is not truly natural, and outside forces will attempt to prevent it. --- Soul Successor The blood that runs through your veins is that of an ancient lineage of just rulers and powerful tyrants, mighty warriors and wise scholars.
