Description
Father Jakobi Merro is a man that is more girth then height, but that is not to say he is rotund. A barrel chested man in his mid-life, one would think that he would be a man of temperance, purpose, and solidarity. He would, and he can, but the man you see now is a man confused. A man scared to death because of what he can't remember. That fear is only tempered by a devoted love and faith in the One God, and a dedication to the flock, both inside the Fortress, and those without. Shoulder length hair, once black and now graying, folds sweeps back from his temples, forming something of a blunted widows peak. His goatee is long, but well kept. Steel grey eyes show a great sadness behind their lids, set in a weathered face that seems to carved from stone, and skin that seems to have been rubbed against the same. He wears thick plate armor of a deep bronze color, sans helmet, and is often seen with his mace and shield at his side. Never is he seen without at least one symbol of the One God, as well as a copy of his most venerable book, a copy worn from time and use, but still without tear and it's pages whole
Personality
Father Merro's personality is much like the man himself; it should be tempered by age and honed with wisdom, but instead is now riddled with bouts of fear. This is not to say that his faith and convictions are not strong, nore does his belief waver. No, not the belief in the One God, but the belief in himself that is under duress. He is also a man who seeks to guide the younger of the flock, be they the citizens of the Fortress, or the sheep of the Outlands. Deep is the pool of sins that evil draws forth it's attractions. He has seen many evils in this world, and even with his lost memory, Father Merro still holds true to himself, and true to the One God. Having seen his own share of battle, Merro knows the severe importance of a faith, or in his case steel and faith, upon the battlefield. Evil isn't just temptation. It bears fangs and claws, fire and steel, along with spells and incantations of dark powers and malevolent devils. One needs faith to make it through a battle filled with horrors intent on tearing your heart and soul from your body. He is also a man that is riddled with doubt. A man out of time, he has lost something like 30 years of his life, with no clue as to how, or why.
