[spoiler=Description]Standing at nearly six and a half feet tall with a strong athletic build, long legs and a curvy, buxom figure Zynka is an imposing sight. Her skins tone is the vibrant green of new leaves in spring, with a slightly upturned nose and small ivory tusks that protrude slightly from her mouth. She has long, straight raven black hair that is swept back and falls to her waist and dark red eyes nearly as black unless the light catches in them. Despite a life of spending her days covered in blood and gore Zynka does take the effort to manage her appearance and maintain hygiene. The practice was initially drilled into her by a commanding officer in the mercenary company who held the idea that the body must be cared for just like her weapons, after all if you clean and sharpen an axe to prevent the damage rust and grime would cause why wouldn’t you apply that same concept to yourself? Later the principle evolved as she would indulge in thoughts of finer clothes and jewelry, occasionally buying scented bath oils when in a city, though not when on a campaign due to weight constraints. However, her one concession is soap infused with wild flowers or similar aroma which she always carries with her.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Background]Abandoned at birth on the temple steps she grew up in an orphanage within the city. At first, life was simple as she didn’t understand how different she was. The fact that she had green skin was just a novelty and tended to be ignored even by the other children, though looking back it was more likely they were too afraid to tease her since she was so much stronger than they were. Of course, as she got older it became apparent even to Zynka that no one would adopt a child with Orc blood and when she left the orphanage some time in her ninth year no one came looking. Eventually she fell in with a pack of street rats and learned fast that if you wanted to survive in the world you had to fight for it and using brute force she was able to maintain a comfortable, if meager, existence. Life was not all bloodshed and survival, the city boasted many wonders that cost little like the street corner performers and magicians. From her earliest memories, Zynka was always enthralled by magic and those who could use it. Many an afternoon was spent watching wide-eyed as someone pulled an object out of thin air or made it disappear in a flash of fire. Unsure of what to do with her life, but realizing she needed to make money to do it she went looking for work and since she was already as tall as most men and just as strong it was easy to find jobs hauling or unloading ships, even working on the outlying farms since people would hire at a lower wage because of her mixed heritage. In time she began working for less reputable employers, turning her natural abilities to collections, bouncing and occasionally as a leg-breaker. By sixteen, no longer happy with the easy cash the underworld offered and disillusioned by what she had become, Zynka signed on with a mercenary company and set about learning what she considered to be an honest trade. It was during this time that her latent magical talent began to surface. From time to time she was able to see magical auras and in a couple incidents use enchanted implements. Once such event occurred when her unit engaged a group of mercenaries from the opposing army where Zynka wrestled a wand from the enemy mage and proceeded to lay waste to his comrades... along with the surrounding hillside. Now four years later, she finds herself in between campaigns and in need of something new. The promise of quick reward for the simple task of killing Kobolds has drawn her to the port town of Eldington seeking adventure.[/spoiler]
