Description
Alissa wears a black dress with dark red ribbons that outline it. A red bow adorns the left side of the hem on the dress. She also wears a matching mantle with a hood that has two cat ears crafted on it, along with a tail that is tied to the back of her dress. Her black tights completely cover her legs, with her red shoes appearing more ideal for comfort rather than fast speed. Though she usually keeps her hood up, it does not fully conceal her black hair, nor the two thin, red ribbons that tie the sections of both sides off. Her blue eyes are of a turquoise shade, and often sparkle like water reflecting the sky.
Personality
A cheerful individual, Alissa always looks at the bright side of life. She much prefers making friends with other people rather than fighting them. Even so, insulting or rude people can get her mad easily, and she tends to fly into a rage quickly if that occurs. Expressive with her feelings, it is hard for Alissa to act neutral and often makes her opinions heard, even when it is not in her best interests. A sense of justice makes it difficult to ignore people who need help, and she has gotten into many troublesome situations due to not thinking about what she is doing. Her intuition is strong, if nothing else, and she has a way of getting out of the predicaments she falls into.

Ever since the age of one, Alissa grew up under the care and guidance of Tallis Fersky, a catfolk who lived on her own in the forest. She considered herself a guardian of nature and was helped in her endeavors by the many wild cats that lived in the area. Tallis raised Alissa as if she were her own child, with the other cats treating her as either one of their kittens or a sibling, depending on the age of the cat. One female panther kitten was especially close to her, and they grew up as if they were legitimately litter mates. This cat, Chelsa, stayed with her even as she grew into an adult, becoming something of a protector on top of being a friend. Due to this way of growing up, Alissa thought of herself as part cat like her mother and was frequently disappointed by the lack of physical traits to show it, such as not having furry ears or a tail. She did manage to learn how to understand "feline", but everything else was unable to be changed. The best she could do was make an outfit with ears and a tail. Seeing Alissa's desire to be closer to her family, Tallis began to teach her about the magic druids could wield, since she was one herself. The idea of being able to communicate with and become animals appealed to Alissa greatly, so she worked intensely on being able to do it. Alissa managed to learn how to transform into animals shortly after turning thirteen, though they had no way of knowing her exact age. The birthday they celebrated was the day Tallis had adopted Alissa. It was on that anniversary that she told Alissa the truth. In reality, she had not given birth to Alissa. Instead, she had been found by one of the many cats (Chelsa's mother, as fate would have it) abandoned in the forest. The panther had brought Alissa back to Tallis, and by using a spell, Tallis communicated with her to learn what had happened. Apparently, a boy had placed Alissa in the forest, one of about nine years of age. He had whispered Alissa's name, and that he would come back for her. Referring to her as 'sister' right before leaving, he headed out and never returned. The cats had searched their territory for him and found nothing. Because of this, Tallis had adopted Alissa and decided to tell her the truth once she was experienced enough to take care of herself. The news stunned Alissa, who had always assumed she had been the same race as the cats, just with a different body and language. In spite of her lack of knowledge in common assumptions, the news that she had a brother excited her greatly. She declared that she would go out to find him and bring him home so they could all live together happily. Tallis watched her off with warm wishes, and Chelsa faithfully followed Alissa, wanting to continue helping her friend. The only clues Alissa had were that her brother would look to be about twenty-one now, and that he had dark hair and blue eyes of the same shades as her own, along with a similar facial structure. She began to travel around while asking people if they had seen someone of that age who could look related to her. Her first major lead was when someone mentioned that he thought he had seen a man with that description head into a cave nearby. She went to the location, hoping to find him... but instead came upon a most unusual diamond. (NOTES: Her brother's name is Albert, he is alive, and he cares greatly for his younger sister. That is all I want to verify about him though, so as to leave room for the DM to incorporate him as appropriate. Perhaps he did go into the cave and can be found in this new world, or maybe the townsperson was mistaken in his sightings. Whatever the case may be, he is her motivation for traveling.)
