Description
Sassaba is a lean, dexterous lizardfolk with deep black scales accentuated with fiery orange tiger-like striping starting atop his snout and traveling along his dorsal side, over the upper arms and thighs and down to his tail tip. He has lived among the more 'civilized' races for many years and as such speaks Common quite well. His armor and longbow are well maintained. Slung across his back is a large composite longbow with a single gem placed in the grip and a large quiver of arrows hangs at his side. His armor is a blue-black chain shirt. Adorning his left forearm is a buckler shield made of crystal. He also wears a silver circlet on his brow. His clawed hands and feet are bare save for a set of leather straps and a utilitarian set of traveler's trousers completes his outfit.
Personality
Sassaba is unusually friendly for a lizardfolk. He works as a cartographer and sometimes 'deeplights' as an adventurer. While well versed in civilized decorum, he isn't above playing into stereotypes of his race should the situation warrant. He has a somewhat unnerving habit of making rather morbid comments then grinning disturbingly as if it was some sort of inside joke. He keeps a cool head in battle, deftly moving as needed and raining sharp-pointy death on his opponents.

Background: A wayfarer and hunter born, Sassaba never felt like he was in the right place in his tribe. Their cruelty never appealed to him, which made him a pariah among his own kind. When the time came for his coming-of-age, he saw his chance to find a better life and struck out on his own. A poor decision as it turned out as he was soon beset repeatedly by the dangers of the deep darkness and was only able to survive by the help of strangers. A small contingent of explorers, working for a cartography guild called the Tunnel Scribes came to his rescue, nursed his injuries, and after learning of his story offered to bring him to a new life. Ever since, he has made his mark, literally, as a mapmaker and guide working for the same guild which is based in the Shallow Lands city of Gomagard.
