Cyrian tried to remember the faces of his parents. He squeezed his eyes shut and concentrated hard but nothing but darkness swirled before him. He could remember the sound of his mother’s voice, her laugh and the stern tone his father took when Cyrian got into something he shouldn’t have. No faces though, and it bothered him. He had been abandoned on this station by a “refugee” ship a few years ago when the Sith attacked the colony in the outer rim his parents were members of. It had been a hard life but a fulfilling one from what he could recall. His father worked in the asteroid mines and his mother tended to a small homestead. They had even had two Nerfs, Biggles and Bobble, which his parents let Cyrian name. His idyllic life had been this way until Cyrian was about 14 years old. Being nearly an adult, Cyrian had begun to taking on more responsibilities around the farm; in his off time, Cyrian had begun his flight training. Of course, all of the good pilots had left to join the war since the pay was a lot more than what the mining operation paid. The shortage had created an opportunity for the younger generation to get jobs that didn’t involve the mundane task of asteroid drilling . Cyrian had been up in the shuttle with his trainer when a squadron of Sith war vessels entered the system. The warships bombarded the small garrison, until they were sure no vessels were left to oppose them. After which time, small trooper carriers begun landing, taking prisoners and laying claim to the survivors as slaves. They raided what little supplies the outpost had and secured every last resource they could find. Cyrian's flight trainer, Dalak, refused to go back to the surface and quickly jumped hyperspace leaving the settlement to its fate. Angered by the man's decision to flee, Cyrian tried to fight the older man for control of the ship, but he wasn’t strong enough and was easily overpowered. Dalak Henries had been a friend to Cyrian's family for many years and despite this bond he shared with Cyrian's family, Dalak left everyone that Cyrian knew back on that settlement; what was worse is that Dalak did so without hesitation or a second thought. Dalak gave Cyrian weak justifications for his actions. Such as Cyrian's father would have wanted Cyrian kept safe at all costs, and a few other implausible explanations that left Cyrian feeling that Dalak was not hero, but a coward. Their relationship was short lived; the first chance Dalak got, he left Cyrian at a refueling station near the Galatic Core. Dalak had told Cyrian he was heading back to look for survivors at the settlement; some time later, Cyrian had discovered the truth where Dalak really went. Nowadays, Cyrian does what ever sort of work comes his way; anything from scrubbing out cargo holds to removing mynocks to patching up meteorite holes in damaged hulls. Cyrian is pretty handy with tools and an even better pilot, though due to his youth and inexperience, he hasn't found work that has taken him off the station. In the last few months, times have become very strange for Cyrian. He often wakes up with feelings of dread, like someone or something dark, is searching for, looking for him, coming for him. One evening he awoke to find his room in a complete disarray, like something raided his room, though the room was still locked from the inside. In another instance, he could have sworn that a tool he was reaching for nudged itself forward, just enough for him to grasp. Cyrian doesn't quite know what to make of it all, so for now he just ignores it and hopes it goes away. Though that 'feeling' is always with him, like something is watching him, that cold, dark sensation in the pit of his stomach.
