Description
Tankerred Murldom is a rotund, clean-bearded, relatively young hill dwarf with fiery red hair and deep brown eyes. He carries himself with steady firmness, though is happy not to intimidate anyone. He is quick to laugh his deep dwarven laugh, but can just as easily be heard grumbling throatily at the mention of evil acts and indiscretions.
Personality
His manner is pious, but also indulgent in the classic dwarven sense (ale!). Those who don't know him are sometimes put off by his piety, but those who do know him, know him to be much more tolerant than he seems. Tankerred in fact cultivates this common first impression, as it tends to work as a good yard-stick for the personalities of others. Theologically (as a devotee of Helm) Tankerred does not believe in evangelizing, but simply by leading by example. Thus, despite his lawful-good nature, you will never hear him preaching, only expounding those virtues he himself lives up to to those interested in hearing about them.

Tankerred was born to a pair of dwarven mercenaries travelling with the Bears Errant merc company in the Dalelands. His father was a smith and devotee of Moradin, and his mother was a front-line warrior with a penchant for goblinoid blood. Though he admired his father's vocation, he could not - having been raised away from his people - easily relate to the worship of the dwarven deity. Instead (much to his father's chagrin) he began to study under the company's other cleric, Kambroc, a devotee of Helm. To this day, Tankerred is torn inwardly about his relationship with the two elders (who were themselves friends), but admits that they each had very important roles to play in his development of faith and in the practical skills he would one day use to strike out on his own as an adventurer. Aside from his father (Hammaran), mother (Jolodi) and Kambroc, Tankerred considers the rest of the Bears Errant Mercenary Company to be his extended family. One-Eye Karpike, the company's captain, is a grandfather figure to Tankerred, while the younger cadets, smithy-hands and fast-talking rangers are like his siblings.
Enemies
Tankerred doesn't have much in the way of enemies (yet!) save for a vague notion that he intends to do evil wrong wherever he goes. He hopes that by the time he is a greybeard, he will have made (and vanquished) numerous enemies among the many various forces for darkness that stalk the Realms.
