Description
A bit over six and a half feet in height, he is a little shy of seven feet. While already bulky, he has the look of a man who hasn't yet reached his full growth. He moves with the natural grace of a stalking predator and possesses alert emerald eyes that miss little. A thick bull neck supports a squarish prize fighters chin and a face that is a little too solid to be called beautiful. Slight tusks grace his smile and the nose above is broad and flat. He wears his hair short, but typically has a few days growth of beard. He dresses in a leather kilt, battered armor, soft soled boots and whatever layers he needs to stay warm. The overall color scheme of his gear might be described as mud tones with a hint of green. A sturdy gauntlet protects his right hand, but his other is left free to draw and manipulate arrows. A well used bone hilted knife is sheathed in his boot and he carries a business like spear slung across his back with a bow and quiver of arrows.
Personality
He has a friendly but slightly overbearing nature by default and exudes confidence. He means well, but fears that he is surrounded by idiots and vulnerable weaklings. He does however hold to his benign duty to take care of them (whether they want it or not). This leads to a kind of good natured arrogance that can seem like pretension. He trains hard and expects the same of others who work in the field. He is however quite willing to be proven wrong on a topic, and will back down is someone is obviously more knowledgeable. He walks a razor line between trying to be a decent and reasonable person and keeping a somewhat bloodthirsty nature under tight control. He doesn't want to wind up like his uncle and Recognizing his stealth and wilderness skills are the most valuable thing he brings to the table, he has been training to improve them in ways others would find hard to immagine. He starts each morning with a 5 mile run in full armor, and has taken to hunting game with hatchets and daggers in order to improve his stealth and alertness. In his free time he enjoys contests a bit too much, and can often be found engaging in drinking and archery contests. He also enjoys more intellectual pursuits, and while he may not respect the field capabilities of scholars, he enjoys being around them. If anything, he suffers from this curiosity as he want to be knowledgeable about everything and sometimes dilutes his efforts. Other times he finds himself being driven into terrible decisions due to curiosity...

social class: Lower middle class (parents owned a bowmaking business). background occupation: Traveller No mans story starts with himself. In Urdrars case, it starts with his grandfather being borne after the last great orc wars. His grandmother was fortunate enough to marry an understanding man, and Urdrars' father was raised in a better home than might have been expected. Unwilling to live a life as an outcast, his father sought out military service to gain wealth and prestige. An exceptional scout, he rose in the ranks of House Duncan before retiring to what he hoped would be a more peaceful life as a furrier while he raised his son. This proved to be a wise choice. Urdrars' uncle stayed in the military, but grew gradually more bloodthirsty and out of control. Over time he gained a reputation as a brutal killer rather than an honorable warrior. Those who remember the man at all remember him as a cautionary example of berserk rages gone wrong. As for Urdrars father, an injury in the wild left him with a bad leg. At this point, he switched trades and focused on his skills as a bowyer. An exacting archer, he had made his own bows for years and set up shop as a bow maker after an accident in the wilds left him with a bad leg. Urdrar grew up in his fathers shop learning woodcraft from the old man who hoped his son would follow the family tradition of hunting and archery. And follow he did, though not in the way his father would have hoped for or expected. Blessed with a mind that favored his human heritage, and physical capabilities that clearly came from the orc blooded side, Urdrar flourished as a hunter of the wilds. Gifted at crafting traps, the young half orc is possessed of stealth and balance which would do an elf proud. Unfortunately he is also possessed of the bloodthirsty nature of his orcish forefathers. The hunt for him is not just a way to make a living and nor is it the spiritual communion with nature that some more mystic hunters seek. It is an outlet for his quite disturbing predatory nature. While he is an excellent hunter, he truly excels at stalking taking down large prey armed only with a spear and spiked gauntlet. He is not all destruction and murder thought. If anything he is a little too prone to introspection, but shows signs that this will develop into a well honed tactical sense given the right setting. He has a deep curiosity in topics running from history to music to tactics to law interest in history and is smart enough to realize that violence only begets more violence. When he can keep his rage in check, he prefers to show mercy and recognizes that a foe shown mercy may be tomorrows ally. The problem is that when violence presses in on him, he tends to go with the flow too much. The unfortunate fact is that he enjoys a fight. The berserker rages his ancestors were famed for have found a home in him. He does not necessarily like this much about himself. He goes to lengths to control it, and find useful outlets for it. For a few months he tried his fist at prizefighting, but lacked the discipline to be one of the greats. His tendency to fly into blood rages was a little too much for the audience. Hunting has been a good outlet, but with the stirring of chaos in the land, he is coming to believe that military or law enforcement work may be the most logical way to use his gifts and focus his flaws where they are least likely to harm innocents or get him executed. Armed with his fathers old equipment and a fine bow, may well have a long career ahead of him. Assuming he survives his first time out...
