Lye is aggressive and determined, often willing to deal with any obstacles with brute force alone, despite perhaps having a more initially intellectual upbringing than most. Lye is devotionally loyal to the Spiral Corsairs due to them having saved her life twelve years ago, but maintains the secret of her racial heritage at all costs and keeps an emotional distance from her fellow crew members. Lye wishes she had a better control over her force powers, but her hormonally unbalanced temper limits her focus greatly, however she continues to search for a way to centre herself better and master her powers.
Description:
Lye maintains a lean muscular build, standing at 5'8" with pale skin, green eyes and dark red hair tied in a ponytail. She wears the same dress as the rest of her crew, with a pair of well maintained pistols resting on her hips. She would be considered quite pretty if her face ever knew an expression other than annoyance or heart bursting anger.

SOTISITE SPECIES TRAITS Sotisites share the following species traits: +Ability Modifiers: +2 Constitution, -2 Charisma. +Size: As Medium creatures, Sotisites have no special bonuses or penalties due to size. +Speed: Sotisite base speed is 6 squares. +Bonus Trained Skill: Sotisites pride themselves in self improvement and rigorous study. A Sotisite character chooses one additional trained skill at 1st level. The skill must be chosen from the character's list of class skills. +Automatic Languages: Basic.

Lye is a member of the Sotisite race, a species of near-humans from within the unknown regions, born on the ancestral homeworld of Satis. Like her older sister Laren, Lye displayed an aptitude for intense physical activity from an early age, in addition to the comparatively strong intellectual and academic abilities common to their race. As with Laren, Lye also suffered from increased aggression and impaired interpersonal skills with this condition progressing throughout her childhood and leading her to joined her older sister at St. Hart's Military Academy. As Lye progressed through her studies however it was discovered that she possessed some ability in the force and the decision was made to send the young cadet with the next coreward vessel to seek training from those of their kind amongst the Jedi Order. Sadly the vessel the twelve year old soldier travelled on was attacked by opportunistic pirates profiteering from the clone wars and the girl was loaded into an escape pod before her vessel launched an unsuccessful counter attack which saw its destruction. Lye was ultimately discovered by a Spiral Corsair vessel and since then has become an accomplished 'Spiral' whilst seeking information of those who destroyed the vessel. -------------------- SOTISITES The descendants of corporately funded colonists and experts sent out to explore the depths of space during the days of the Old Republic, the Sotisites are a proud and academically focused species of near-humans. They are separated from their ancestors by thousands of years of genetic alteration through the centuries to eliminate the flaws of continued interbreeding and to adapt to adverse environmental conditions on the worlds their ancestors' colonised. Their defining difference, the races' sole hermaphroditic female gender, itself being the final solution to a continually declining male birth rate over their advancement. The Sotisites' ancestors chose to hide themselves from their original benefactors, so to greater benefit from the discoveries they were making and eventually they falsified their demise in the 'unknown regions', in truth they continued to be a part of galactic society in secret, trading their discoveries for the knowledge, supplies and technology they lacked and, in times prior to their single-gendered 'rebirth', enticing new blood into their sector to promote genetic diversity. From the establishment of Palpatine's Empire and onward the Sotisites became increasingly cautious in their activities outside their home system, taking great care to hide and protect their true presence. This included restricting the number of Sotisites travelling to the core systems and lead to the undertaking of three year pilgrimages by young members of their race every season. Personality: Sotisites can be defined by their focused drive towards and continual advancement of their personal abilities, however beyond that similarity each can vary greatly as any human would. Due to common hormonal imbalances, caused by thousands of years of genetic manipulation by their ancestors, many display increased aggression, low emotional control, and/or increased negative reaction to provocation. At best the hormonal imbalances can lead to competitive behaviour, but at worst it can lead to acts of violence which often result in fatalities. Physical Description: Sotisites are as varied in appearance as their human ancestors, besides the one exception that the entirety of their race is made up of female hermaphrodites. The similarities they share allows them to blend in effortlessly wherever humans can be found and helps to preserve the hidden nature of their race. Homeworld: The industrious world of Satis, their ancestors' first colony world, situated in the Corrs system within the 'Unknown Regions'. Languages: As with their human ancestors the Sotisites speak, read, and write Basic. Those on pilgrimage or who regularly trade with other species may learn additional languages, usually as required. Example Names: Karlek, Uppror, Croydon, Jenn, Kayla, Lye. Adventurers: Sotisite adventurers are typically scholars, scientists and artists (including various practical crafts), honing their abilities as they learn to become masters of their fields. Beyond this, those with less control over their emotions seek to put their aggression to good use as soldiers or infiltrators, working to protect their worlds. Throughout their history, many force sensitive Sotisites have sought training amongst the Jedi and in other force traditions, concealing their true nature, with a small (but concerning) portion of these individuals letting their hormones lead them to the dark side.
