Description
Zin is fairly small, even for a Gnome. This does little to bother him, although it has left him a little limp in the wrist. Zin prefers to dance behind Illusions anyway, utilizing his lithe build to his advantage. Desite his youth Zin's hair is silver, an annomaly that some speculate is the result of some elaborate rank. Possibly one orchestrated by the gods. Zin is not particularly handsome, his face is well-proportioned but weathered and scarred. Despite this, he has an oddly otherworldy air about him, a kind of attraction that draws people to him. There are whispers that somewhere far back in the family line, Abyssal blood intruded into his heritage. Whatever the truth, Zin incorperates this magnetism in his skills as a bard and a Cleric, often joking that the blood of demons has furthered the cause of the Gods.
Personality
Zin is fairly typical of a Gnome, especially of one of the Clergy of Garl Glittergold. He loves pranks, and isn't shy about pulling them. These are usually used to test strangers, to find their motives and see if they can handle a joke. Since Zin took up wandering these pranks have become more subtle; less likely to be traced back to him since their often seen as malicious outside of gnomish society. Zin is quick to interact with people, but slow to make friends. When in conversation he's respectful and polite, but can seem a bit distant. As a member of the clergy of Garl Glittergold he often makes reference to the teachings of his God, but knowing that religion can be ill-recieved when spouted blatantly, he tends to avoid naming his patron.

Zin hails from the hamlet of Friendly Arm Inn, where he was trained as a cleric of Garl Glittergold. He often visited the Candlekeep, using his skills with Illusions to slip pas the gatekeepers. In those halls he learned the secrets of working with Shadow Silk, and of imbuing items with a portion of his life force. His first break-in was actually prompted by a pair of gifts from his Divine Patron; a Quickrazor and a Rapier, each forged from an unusual material. To ascertain the nature of their construction he sought to enter the great Library, but was unable to procure the suitable tome toll. Discovering that they were Aurorum and Solarian Truesteel was an intriguing find, but the sheer volume of knowledge stored in the halls whet his appetite. Unfortunately, Zin wasn't quite as stealthy as he had thought himself to be, or perhaps he simply became complacent. Either way, he was caught by the monks of the keep. He was able to escape, but knew felt that he should probably slip out of town. He made excuses to the members of his clergy, claiming that he wanted to undertake a pilgrimage to gaze upon the vastness of the world and seek the will of Garl. Since then he has spent much time on the road, heading first south for the Cloud Peaks, then east towards the Dragonmere through the Snakewood.
