Description
A flat chested, lanky girl, with too much stringy brown hair, a too-large nose and ears, wearing chainmail that doesn't fit, a shapeless and threadbare brown robe, and an expression of overwhelmed confusion. In the darkness, after a stressful day, out of the corner of your eye, you can sometimes see shapes floating around her head. Faces. Four of them. Watching her sleep.
Personality
Margie can come across as shy and easily overwhelmed. She's actually a very social person, but her multiple minds can keep her occupied. She doesn't have much confidence in her powers- because a lot of them aren't *her* powers. Mittens, her Oracle, is a quori more alien than most. She exists outside of the normal flow of time in Eberron, but also has no concept of representational language. She communicates mostly through emotions, smells, and sensations of body movement- which is normally a very unhelpful way to learn about the future. The Professor, her Collective, has been traveling the planes, collecting knowledge, for an amount of time that can't be measured in human terms. He's currently studying the unknown process that's keeping him plano-psychically bonded to an otherwise completely uninteresting girl. He's always on the lookout to learn something new, but he's also convinced he's seen it all before. However, if someone is behaving stupidly, and asking questions that are 'moronically simple', he'll answer, just to shut them up. Mr. Crabs, on the other hand, likes Margie. He likes her a lot. She has such delicious nightmares.

Margana, the NG Spirit Shaman (And Mittens, the CG precognitive kitty-cat, and The Professor, a LN alien explorer, and Mr. Crabs, a LE force of hatred and aggression): Margana Sykes grew up in an unimportant farming village in what everyone thought was uncontested eastern Aundair. Her mother was a simple peasant woman, who insisted that Margie's father was a handsome prince from a far-off land. She later grew up to doubt this. Regardless, life was good, and the land was fertile and strategically unimportant, the Last War was frightening, but a safe distance away: until it suddenly wasn't. Thrane won a score of bloody victories, the border was pushed west, and the village was burned to the ground. Margana made it to safety- she doesn't remember how- and was eventually taken to Fairhaven and spent the rest of her childhood in a home for war orphans. Her teachers noticed that she had a particularly active imagination, including a number of imaginary friends. That, of course is a perfectly normal and healthy part of childhood- "Mittens is afraid of the dark," "I didn't break it, Mr. Crabs did." It's less healthy when someone still hears the voices of imaginary friends at the age of twenty. It's less normal when it's "I didn't kill him, Mr. Crabs did." Margana was never adopted, and she eventually started working for the orphanage that raised her, in part because she wanted to give back, and in part because her caregivers wanted to keep an eye on her sanity. When she heard about the expedition to Merylsward, and the chance to go back and rebuild a place that was once destroyed, she felt a pang of sympathy, and knew she had to lend her healing skills to the cause. A majority of the voices in her head agreed.
