I'd also appreciate if you keep your app in the same post. Makes it easier to locate later.

Game Description:

The City on WaterAt the point where three rivers meet and form a lake, there is a city which has seen better days. A bustling hub of commerce thanks to its fortunate location, it once had everything it needed to become one of the greatest cities in the world...but lost it at some point, replaced by something far more cynical, tired, and willing to turn an eye on what was wrong and needed to be righted. A grey funk descended over it as the men in power traded in their zeal and dedication to their duties for the cold comfort of cash, and those in charge of enforcing the law decided that helping break it was far more profitable. The men and women who were far too worried about surviving from one day to the next did not have time for such sordidness and violence, but even they were subtly affected by the decadence that settled into the area. Over time, the place they called their home sunk into darkness, a veil of apathy so thick it could almost be touched on a bad day. The city lost its name and with it its identity, and today no one remembers its former glories. Nothing has changed in years, and if people remain set on their current course, nothing ever will.

But the world has changed. It has seen times of darkness and times of joy, and it has never stood still. And soon, some of that sense of purpose will seep into this forsakened city once more. Soon, the time will come for the tides to turn...

Hello everyone, and welcome to the dark little underworld of the City on Water. Me and Illien, the instigator of this game, are looking for 4 or 5 players who wish to partake in a DC Adventures game, using the Third Edition Mutants and Masterminds rules. Below are some details about the game for those who wish to try their hand at bringing some hope to a town that has lost its aim.

That's all. The turning of the tides is in your hands now. Will the City on Water disappear into the mists of history permanently? Or will it finally become the grand place it should always have been?

Okay, here's Patrick's sheet. I'm currently 11 points over if I did the math right. I based him mostly off the Mystic archetype in the book. Could you guys help me trim back a little?

I see a couple places I might cut back but I'd like to hear from those that know the system better. There might be a more efficient way to keep most of what I want.

Well I count 15 points used in advantages not 14, but no suggestions on trimming points.

I'd add a limitation or catch or two to whatever the main power of the luck array is, honestly. Seems like the easiest way to go about it, especially since you're undercapped to your defenses.

You could, for one, drop Pat's Awareness a little bit and pump his Will save separately - as far as I'm aware,t hat's the only thing that directly benefits from it (aside from Insight, which will be at a pretty small +5 mod), so every point of Awe you lose would net you a power point.
Other than that, I'm unsure - I was going to suggest making Enhanced Dodge Affects Others Only instead, since you've got your Dodge defense mayed already, but it's an alternate power, so that won't matter much.

Right now, I'm debating how to do this "insanity by eye contact" power. The base should be an Uncontrolled Mind Control, but I'm debating whether it should be just a base Standard action for the sake of point expenditure or if I should go for broke and make it a Reaction - the main problem being that ti would take a third out of my points if meeting the PL cap, on a power that would, fluff-wise, be a 'last resort' kind of thing. After all, it wouldn't exactly give our heroes good rep if the criminals they hunt regularly start screaming and firing in random directions or slink into a corner and mutter to themselves.
Come to think about it, as paradoxical as it sounds, I could leave this 'main power' out altogether for now, and use it as a power stunt, if at all. As power stunts are now a function of extra effort rather than hero points, I can this way still theoretically use it as much as I like, as limited by the fatigue that comes with it, and said fatigue could be flavored as mental backlash or something.

ehm.. that's how it was on 2e as well.

It did? I was always under the impression that power stunts went off of hero points. ...Maybe it's just that I only ever saw it used in conjunction with hero points. The more you know.
EDIT: Yeah, you're right. I apparently just glossed over the section when I first read the book and never bothered to come back and check.

New and improved Sheet!

Mick the rogue - Am I counting everything correctly. I count you as having 15 points in advantages not 10 points, 15 points in skills not 10 points, 34 points in Defenses not 22, Angel of Punishment 12 points, healing hands at 32 points (Healing linked with deflect). For a total of 180 points. But I am new to this so I could be wrong.
