For some reason, Sam wasn't actually sure Cady had taken the whole thing seriously instead of just being hurt and not wanting to show it. She studied her sister's face for what seemed like a long while, but found nothing that particularly reassured her. "Alright, I will." She turned to head back up the beach toward the city, looking up at the sky to estimate the time. There was at least one thing she still wanted to ask, but she stowed it away. The talk had been stressful enough without anything else that might upset one of them, and she had somewhere else to be soon anyway. "I have lunch plans in town. I'll walk back with you if you don't mind. If you want to be alone instead, I'll let you have a head start."
