Traditional Mental Bout- The Locust Elite vs the Atlas Green
Locust P 5, G 5, MO 6
Atlas P 1, G 1, MO 1
Set the scene:
A grassy plain with woods to the NW and a big hill to the NE. The SE is spotted with small hills.
5 zones- NE, NW, SE, SW, and Center. Zones NE and SW, and SE and NW, are 2 zones apart
Terrain Aspects
Trees for Cover NW
Hill to Hide Behind NE
Partial Hill Cover SE
Turn 1
-------------
Locust (NW) executes a Maneuver on the Atlas (SE) and utilizes the terrain (Trees for Cover)
P 5 + Spd 8 + Aspect 1 +
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: -1, 1, 0, 0 (Total = 0)
fate (0) vs P 1 + Spd 3 (16 vs 4... hah!)
Atlas is Flanked, Locust MO 5 (I probably shouldn't have wasted the MO)
Locust fires on the Atlas. Range Medium (crosses Center, and enters SE, 2 zones, med range)
G 5 + Flank 1 +
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 1, 1, 1, 1 (Total = 4)
Fate (4) vs P 1 (hah!) (Hit by 10... what will I do with extra to-hit?) (for now, nothing)
Damage 1 + Flank 1
Atlas Armor is now 8
Flank cleared
-------------
Atlas (SE) moves into Center zone (need to specify how to move zones)
Atlas skips his maneuver since he couldn't succeed.
(need to specify how to discover aspects) (instead of maneuver)
The Atlas pilot will try to discover an aspect
Dice Roll: 1d10e+5z
d10 Results: 5 (Total = 10)
Fuzion Perception (10) (wow, don't know what the target is, but that finds one!)
The Atlas discovers the Locust has Weak Leg Armor
The Atlas fires on the Locust. Range Short (deciding right now that ranges need changed). He tags his Weapon AC/20 for a bonus to his (MO 0 remaining)
G 1 + Aspect 1 +
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, -1, -1, -1 (Total = -3)
Fate (-3) vs P 5
Hmm, it appears, that as written, the Atlas will NEVER be able to hit the Locust after expending his MO, and that's not rules-accurate. Let's assume the Locust pounds off 2 per round, it'll take the Locust, then, 5 rounds to "retreat" the Atlas. Can the Atlas hit in 5 rounds by rolling 4x 1s?
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: -1, -1, 0, 0 (Total = -2)
Fate (-2)1
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: -1, 0, -1, -1 (Total = -3)
Fate (-3)2
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, 0, 0, -1 (Total = -1)
Fate (-1)3
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: -1, 0, -1, 1 (Total = -1)
Fate (-1)4
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: -1, 0, 0, 1 (Total = 0)
Fate (0)5
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, 1, -1, 0 (Total = 0)
Fate (0)1
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, 0, 0, -1 (Total = -1)
Fate (-1)2
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, 0, 0, -1 (Total = -1)
Fate (-1)3
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 1, 1, -1, 0 (Total = 1)
Fate (1)4
Dice Roll: 4dFz
dF Results: 0, 1, 1, 1 (Total = 3)
Fate (3)5
So that's two battles where the Atlas has lost to the Locust. I need to do something different.
