While polymorph is strong, the Grimalkin version seems to be stuck at 4 CL & medium size, so it won't scale well at higher levels. You are better off focusing on Dragonfire Adept to max out breath weapon damage, rather than spreading yourself between breath weapon, and kitty-rage (Grimalkin HD + Barbarian levels).

Might I suggest playing a Tibbit instead of Grimalkin? Just as cat-like without having to spend 4 RHD/3 LA.

I didn't realize a grimalkin would be a level 7 character. That's ridiculous, and just not worth it. I didn't even think +3 LA by itself was justified.
