new system?

new system?

Hello, I am looking to learn a NEW flexable system! I saw on here a few weeks ago that someone was joking around and mentioned "What if there was a game where you reused a character from your past in a new game! No style or game restrictions!" and that made me want to try it with my IRL friends...they mentioned a possible system to use to convert characters into it...so I was wondering...what would be a good system to learn that is so easy to bring in different types of characters? Like Vampires,Mages, Humans, Elves, Power Rangers, super heroes, and anything else under/above the stars.

Systems I know already: NWOD, BESM, D20 Modern, DnD 3.5, and Shadowrun

I would like to stay away from: M&M ...

Thank you for ANY ideas! =D

The Fate system would be a good system to get everyone and put them on a level playing field, and I've always been a fan of the Cortex ruleset (Serenity, Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, and Leverage). Both are less technical than D&D3.X/D20 Modern and/or Shadowrun, but more on level with World of Darkness.

Happy hunting!

Here's the free FATE core information http://www.faterpg.com/resources/
and check out my workshop on learning the Dresden Files rules. There's already vampires, mages, humans, elves, goblins, super heroes (more or less) and anything else under the stars. (I've heard of a character that was literally a fallen star, in the spirit of the Gaiman story Stardust).

In my signature, actually.

You're welcome to try it if you feel like some eeeevvvviiiilllll.
