Ransom is of average height for a halfling, barely topping the belt line of most humans. He has the vaguely eastern cast to his features that most halflings from Tian display. Tanned from his travels to the Inner Sea Region, Ransom picked up many eclectic styles of dress on his way. His preferred outfit is a loose-fitting and darkly-colored robe fastened with a belt, over which he wears a suit of leathers, intricately inscribed with whorls of a lighter color. An accident in his past left him blind in his right eye, and he has taken to wearing a patch over the empty socket so as to not disturb those delicate in constitution.

Born in the land of the Dragon Empires, Ransom (as he is known in the Inner Sea) astonished his honored ancestors by taking up apprenticeship with the Assassin's Guild. An honored profession to be sure(else, who would keep the bureaucrats in check?), but a dark and shadowy one. Ransom learned from his masters, and served for many years, but discontent grew in him. It is unclear exactly what happened (to everyone but Ransom and his master), but it came to pass that Ransom was expelled from the Guild in dishonor. Shunned by his friends and his family Ransom set off on the long and dangerous journey for a new start on the other side of the world. Used to the hidebound ways of Tian, Ransom was astonished by the exotic multitude when he arrived in Absalom. Determined to learn what he could of his new culture and its underpinnings, Ransom joined with the Pathfinder Society - where wisdom and opportunity could be found hand in hand.

Ajax loves to make light of a situation. He has a hard time taking anything too seriously. Quick to argue and quicker to laugh, people either hate him or love him...or they ignore him. Nevertheless, Ajax is a consummate tactician and is not afraid to call out the action in the heat of a battle. The quickest way to get on his bad side is to not know what you're doing in battle AND ignore his keen advice. Ajax expects a lot from his teammates, but is not afraid to admit what he doesn't know.
