hello there faithful of the emperor of mankind, I am Chaplain Decious, not dec, not chap. I will be the Holy Emperor's voice to the congregation here on Myth-weavers.
May I please take the oppertunity to show interest in playing a character that I never had the chance to play at my own gaming club.
Game System: Deathwatch
Style: Grim Dark action packed fighting.
What i'm looking for I'm looking for a high powered Deathwatch game in which I can play Brother Argoth of the Deathwatch (chapter: Raven Guard) here is a bit of RP sample for him.
Name: Argoth Thorus
Crunchy bits Name: battle brother Argoth Thorus
Chapter: Raven Guard
Speciality: Deathwatch assault marine
Squishy Bits Description and Background: Standing at around 9 feet tall Argoth Thorus is around average height for a space marine. Without his armour on Argoth Thorus is the prime specimine of what it is to be a Raven Guard, his skin is a brighter white than a bleached bone skull, while his hair is blacker than Jet, Argoths eyes are like the deepest coal pits of the old Spire. For a marine that has been fighting in the service of the emperor for so over 3 centuries there is a strange lack of battle scars, only 3 scars adorn his body, one is a large burn along his left flank spreading from hip to arm pit where an avoidance role went wrong in his early years as an aspirant in th spire. the other two are from a single combat with a hive tyrant where its jaws almost closed around his wrist. When clad in his ornate armour almost unscathed set of Mk6. "Corvus" Paturn Artificer power armour he really is a force to be roconed with, being only one of 100 in the chapters long history since the heresy to be issued with a full suit of Corvus Paturn Artificer armour Argoth felt honoured beyond anything he had ever felt before, even more so that he has been entrusted with the armour of the reaper: This suit’s armoured gloves have been replaced with a unique pair of lightning claws They are said to have been worn by one of the Space Marines in the army that fought furthest away from Terra than any other in history—the ultimate reach of the Imperium, now long lost to aliens and warp storms. There is some disagreement among the Adeptus Astartes as to which Legion actually holds this honour, but it is good-natured for the most part. As it currently resides in the possion of the Raven Guard Chapter and also bears their Insignia, it is left to no real doubt. Many badges of honour and valor now adorn the armour, all in recognition of Argoth's acheivments, these include; the Crux Terminatus, the Imperial Laurel, the Iron Halo and Argoths personal favourate the Skull and motto of his Chapter. The Skull and motto of the chapter was awarded 50 years after Argoth's first stint with the Deathwatch ended, on the war torn word of Grathos IV Argoth saved the life of Cheif Chaplain Gregor Frostwing, hauling the Tau battle suit from its striking position above the chaplain Argoth sliced both its weapon arms from its body with quick flicks of his wrist, but rather than take the life of the monstosity himself he stepped back and let the Chaplain finish the deed with honour watching as the crusio arcanum split the visor in half down the middle oblitorating the pilot. Once back to the spire Gregor Frostwing had personally seen to it that the chapter master bestowed the honour in regonition of his deeds on that day.
In Argoth's 314 years of combat trials he has served in the Deathwatch only twice, his first deployment to the Deathwatch lasted over 2 decades, in which his abilities as a scout/assasin came in useful many many times. Over the 20 year span Arogth gained over 500 confirmed cossion completions for him and his kill squad, the most prominent of these being the assaination of the commander of a chaos fleet, abourd his own strike cruiser. Rising fast through the ranks of the Deathwatch Argoth took charge of many mission himself even rising to the lofty heigh of Deathwatch Champion, the first Raven guard to do so for over a millenia, his stern and tactical aproach to almost everything made him a one man killing machine as well as one of the most brilliant tactical minds in the organisation.

RP sample (Taken from a warhammer 40k game that didnt quite take off because of the DM):
(DM's opening post): Even more darkness fills your eyes as your consciousness awakens from stasis. As you lay there adjusting to the realms of the living, the glow globes start flickering a soft white light. With each pulse it brightens a little, rendering your quarters with light only to drown it into darkness ones more.
It was a simple technique, one often used after long periods of statis-sleep. Allowing Astartes to adjust more easily to consciousness. Suddenly your harness pops free, and with a hiss it retracts within it's sockets below the confinement chamber freeing you from it's embrace. As you climb out of the pod, you notice how tense and stiff your muscles have become. You must've spend a great deal of time in it's embrace for you haven't felt nearly as strange as after this warp jump.
The small chambers dance before your eyes for a second, as your muscles get accustomed to a upright position. It only takes mere seconds to adjust, and soon you've already crossed the distance to the door, long strides carrying you through the interior of the familiar Overlord-class battlecruiser towards the command-center.
It only takes minutes for you to arrive at the gigantic blast doors leading into the command chambers, the thick iron doors still damaged from the Eldar boarding attempt. Huge craters decorating it's gigantic bulk from where the psychic explosions had struck it's hull. Even in it's damaged state, it worked properly and had held off the attackers long enough to allow your brothers to retaliate. The doors still stood, to relish that fleeting memory of combat.
As the doors slide open, a small crowd appears before you. Lobotomized servitors working away at their consoles. Astropaths busy relaying messages towards the other corners of the galaxy. At the center of the chamber Captain Mogrim Lethander of the Ultramarines stands looking over a planetary map of 1301-12, or better known as Cadia. As you walk towards him. He turns to greet you. "Ahh Brother Argoth, what a pleasure you arrive so early. We've got a situation on our hands that requires you and your kill teams immediate attention." his expression seems troubled as you near him.
My Response: Stepping from his restraint harness Argoth shakes out his extremities and making sure that the "stasis sickness" is out of his system. That must have been a long transistion . Flashing his energiesed blades from the armour of the reaper Argoth makes sure his blades are working and then retracting them knowing that he would only have been released from stasis before docking without one hell of a reason, especially after his last mission, it had really taken its tole on him and his squad. Dropping to one knee he places both palms onto the floor below him, "Oh blessed emperor of mankind, I thank thee for your guiding presence and ever vigilant protection of the ways of humanity, I serve you and will continue to enforce your deserved rule over the galaxy" With his dedication prayer finished he moves swiftly through the Overlord battlecruiser.
Arriving at the command-center Argoth pays the menail servators no heed as he walks briskly over the Ultramarines Captain and makes the sign of the aquilla as a greeting, He is met with a phrase he has heard way too many times "we've got a situation", "Well met brother Captain."
Looking at the hololith projection Cadia with its many Kasrs dotting its landscape, before Captain Lethander can speak up Argoth says without looking at the data-slate provided "Cadia; Segmentum Obscurus - Cadian system, Population at last count eight hundred and fity million, Standing army six hundred and seven million serving personel, planetary production is predominantly weapons currently 71.3%. Planetary classification: fortress world, Tithe Grade- Aptus non" pritty much the second most fortified world after holy terra its self
Turning his skull white head towards Lethander and looking him in the eye he asks "What is troubling you brother?"
thank you for the chance to introduce my self to this board and show my gaming style.
