Name:
Thourin Arroway
Age:
48
Race:
Gnome
Gender:
Male
Class:
Illusionist
Standing a respectable 3'3" for a gnome, at an average weight, Thourin is slightly more slender then the average Gnome. The difference would be in his motions. You will see him arbtrarily look around and gape in wonderment while nothing happens. With sharp features for a Gnome, Thourin has light brown skin. He sports short hair, and a goatee which are both well trimmed and maintained. He wears tan cloth, with a backsplash of dark green. On special occasions he wears a dark green vest on top of his normal cloths. On his shoulder, one can almost always find his small white rat Alvy, looking through the crowd with his master. In an attempt to immitate the master wizards he was trained with, Alvy walks around with a quarterstaff which functions primarily as a walking stick. He wears a cloak on his back, in his mind, a requirement for a wizard.
Gnomes have always been known to be a little exuberant in their endeavors, so when a Gnome decides to do something, most who know the Gnome simply let it happen. Thourin was one such Gnome, who took Illusion and arcane casting to heart. This is a fairly common thing for a Gnome to take obsession with even, but the reason sets him apart from most. Since Childhood, Thourin has seen things. At first, it was just an extra bowl on the table, or a cat running through the house even though his mother was very allergic. It wasn't until his mother told him of the story of the great Gnome wizard Ardablan, and later that night held a conversation with the man that he knew something was weird. This is when Thourin was first introduced to the idea of an Illusion. It was however, not magic at all that caused his visions. A healer had diagnosed him medically to be schizophrenic, but at that young age, he didn't understand what that meant. All he knew is that sometime he would get really interesting people to talk to.
His visions had some interesting characteristics. Firstly, he has visions of things from all over the world, including things that he has never seen before. This causes some confusion within his mind, which compensates by simply making the person or creature very blurry in the vision. As he meets people of new races, or new races of beasts, he now knows his visions for what they were. After meeting his first dwarf, many of the short stout blurry visions became clear, clear that they were Dwarves. When the visions are blurry, their level of interaction with Thourin is very low. Due to this, Thourin has always been very interested in meeting new types of people from all over the world. All he needs is a glimpse in order to clear the visions. For many visions, Thourin will look to his pet rat Alvy to clarify if they are real or not, Alvy doesn't see the things Thourin does.
His primary goal in life is to understand these visions that he sees, as well as to be able to show people what he sees going through his head. He had never been one to be able to describe things well, as such, wants to be able to actually make everything he sees. To this end, after his schooling at the mages college, Thourin left to go explore the world. He left in search of being able to fully understand everything he sees, as well as he wants to gain experience and knowledge in illusions so he can better show others.
<Reserved for background of meeting other players after that is figured out.>
Thourin is a very curious spirit. This curiosity is born of both magical knowledge, as well as social interactions. He loves to meet new people, and (after verifying their existence with Alvy) assumes that are of good nature. He is a very trusting soul towards people of common races. He holds hopes, but is cautious around those races with a bad stigma. He likes to make people happy, and to that end has been known at the end of the day to blow the rest of his illusion magic in a bit of a show for anyone nearby. He has never seen any heavy combat, or particularly dark parts of the world, so it remains to be seen how he will handle the sight of a pack of Orcs storming a village or the like. If one watches him, Thourin also has a strong connection toward Alvy, as such, spend time each day talking to and playing with the rat.

Name:
Mitari Dracoloy
Age:
24
Gender/ Race:
Male Lesser Aasimar
Class:
Swordsage 3
You see before you a man that is rather pleasant to look at. He has deep blue eyes that draw you in and long platinum blonde hair that seems to float in the breeze even when there is one. He’s rather tall and muscular too. When you see him he is wearing basic traveler’s cloths with a v-necked shirt that is mostly open and not tucked in to his pants; you also see the hint of shiny mail under it. He wears a brown leather belt and brown leather boots that go up to just below his knees. He has a huge sward strapped to his back and his backpack and other supplies are on the ground next to him.
Mitari show pity where pity is due. He hates people being stepped on and used with getting the proper reward. He sees the good in everything and is rather lighthearted unless he sees someone being hurt by someone taking improper authority over them. Mitari is quick to smile but has a natural uneasiness around persons in authority positions.
Mitari’s parents were childless for a long time before he came along. While his father was not religious his mother prayed for a son night and day. The Gods finally sent them me. They found me while they were walking through their acreage. They were so happy, until Mitari’s mother died. His father, knowing what Mitari meant to her, took even more care of him. His father spoiled him, bought him things, tutors, anything Mitari wanted. But his father was still angry sp he took it out on the slaves he owned. Growing older Mitari did not like seeing this. He pleaded with his father to stop but to no avail.
One day Mitari saw a boy, a couple of years older, being brought in. Mitari knew his dad had just purchased him; Mitari hated that word when dealing with people. Mitari befriended the boy, later found out his name was Frey. Never having an older brother Mitari looked up to and admired Frey. He even would go and help Frey with his duties just to be around him. Mitari’s father didn’t approve but didn’t say anything, just took it out on the other slaves. Mitari hated the way his father treated the slaves and that he had them to begin with. Once, while helping Frey with his duties, Mitari saw an older man fall to the ground from exhaustion. Mitari went to help him up only to be met by an extremely brutal watcher of the slaves who started beating the man. Mitari put himself between the old man and the whip of the slave driver, taking the beating himself. Seeing this, Frey, and the other slaves, held Mitari in high regards and respect.
After some time Frey told Mitari theat he was going to escape. I begged him to take me when he left so we could be together. Frey promised he would. The opportunity for Frey’s escape came sooner than planned and he left without telling Mitari. When Mitari heard this he was devastated. He packed a small bag and left to join his best friend wishing the other slaves well but without telling his father. Mitari tried to follow the direction Frey went but was soon lost. He was found by a kind, old couple who took him in. The couple lived near a military outpost and had a son who was in the military. Mitari stayed with them for some time. He learned the ways of the sword and other skills taught him in return for work and chores done around the house. One day Mitari told the family his story. After hearing it the family knew he needed to pursue his friend. They gave him supplies and sent him on his way.
Mitari has yet to find Frey. He wanders the land looking for him, learning what he can, earning money any way he could. He found out that Frey was traveling with a little boy. Gaining hope Mitari relentlessly continued his search.
