I used to have an old set that came with soft metal beads and a little electric melting pot. It also came with some soft rubber molds that you poured the melted metal into to make various metal pieces.

I can't recall what the set made, but I have a friend wanting to make his own pewter figs and I figured he could use the melting setup it used.

Does anyone recall toy sets such as these from just under 20 years ago?

Yes! I'm so jealous of you. I wanted one as a kid, but my mom wouldn't dream of getting me one.
