Nah, I'm fine with bringing my high weirdness geek. Also, Neo, Intractable Warrior looks to be one of those fun gifts where they put a roll there, but it doesn't seem to be an opposed roll of any kind. I'm wondering if it's an artifact of publishing, or just a flat "roll, get one success." It'll give me a +5 to track the blood's source untill sunrise, at which point i can reflexively reactivate for 1 additional essence. Also, if a supernatural effect is cloaking the target somehow, I get a +5 shift in my favor to any roll to pierce it.

Looking it over... it is definitely an oddly written gift. Lots of unopposed stuff....

Given the cost, here's what I'm going to say:

-Intractable Warrior basically gives you a +5 to any roll required to reach the target; so +5 to tracking rolls, +5 to perception rolls to spot them, +5 to supernatural resistance or cloak-piercing rolls to find them, +5 to lockpicking rolls (they are no longer automatic successes), +5 to knock down any doors, etc. If for some reason Avery isn't getting an opposed roll then the target gets a -5 penalty instead, though I can't imagine that situation coming up very often.

-I am going to read the reflexive-knockdown rules very narrowly -- the people being knocked down pretty much have to be directly blocking you, simply being in the same combat (or especially an unrelated combat) is insufficient.

-It is opposed by the target's Resolve+Supernatural Tolerance, so roll your activation roll (Resolve+Survival+Purity) versus

(0). If you succeed, you do not need to roll any more to keep the thing up.

Basically, you get a bunch of useful +5 bonuses for a pretty cheap cost. Sound good?

In the meantime, roll Wits+Survival, plus Intractable Warrior, and remember that tasting blood gives you a further +4 (Prey's Blood)
