Posts per day: At least one and if you don't post after two weeks you will be dropped without notice if you don't give me forewarning.

Of course I require the standard history, personality, and appearance as well as a solid reason to be looking for the culprits. I will also be judging you on pregame roleplay as well. If deciding becomes tough I'll look to your roleplay style to get you in.

Also this game I'm being especially generous this time. I want you to create characters you want. I might accept homebrew, but I will consider everything. That being said I want this to be a fun and interesting game so no cheese please.

LA buyoff in effect

Pregame roleplay: My reasoning for the pregame roleplay is to see how well each person's playstyle and posting rate meshes with mine. When I feel I have enough candidates I will open up an open one where everyone can roleplay. Until that time I'll be using private threads when the applications are complete. I will also be taking a little bit of time after applications close. I'm hoping this will show me a little bit more about both you and your characters.

Game Description:

The kingdom of Rysha. A relatively peaceful kingdom compromising most of the Dragon Reach mountains with a piece of the highlands off to the east. Ruled by king William and queen Eilonna rule with a a firm yet less intrusive hand. Under their rule trade from the dwarves who rule their mountainous territory and trade by sea has also flourished. It is this trade that has made the country so successful. For the farmlands though as fertile as any other country isn't enough to sustain the ever growing country.

And yet for all it's prosperity and general lack of conflict there are problems within the world. Pirates and brigands still roam the wilds while beasts of natural and magical descent prowl there as well preying on the unwary travelers. And lately something much worse has been happening. Several smaller fishing villages have been sacked as of late. The bodies left were mutilated; that is except for the women of child bearing age. There have been few of their bodies found. All of these attacks have taken place at night without any warning it would seem and the culprits have disappeared back into the water. All that is left is the carnage and broken bodies by daylight and strange webbed footprints.

For whatever reason something didn't feel right. Something that wouldn't just go away about the attacks. And the pursuit for the truth began. Though the truth is much more slippery than one would believe. All that has been discovered is that these attacks were committed by something smarter than people want to give them credit for.

Rumors began to crop up that the king wanted to send people to investigate the massacres. Being picked for such a mission you set out to find the source of the attacks for better or worse. Only time will tell if the source of the attacks will be found. Or if they can be stopped.

Aha, ok.

Sure, if in context and not blown out of proportions, which I think is happening now, by your reply here, I hope we can drop it now?

So, even if you were joking the first time, it was not cool to draw any negative connotations to another person's application in public. First impressions stick.
Joking and being sarcastic is not quite the same, my first impression of your photo-choice sticks as well.

As they say in grade school, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
I am not a school grader, so don't compare me, and no, I don't think my sarcastic comment has anything to do with grade school,
this is imo an underhanded insult equally so, and you should refrain from it, just as your expecting me not to say anything about your taste of photo's.

except that you openly invited ridicule by insulting another members application behind his back (whether intentionally or not). It is one thing to be sarcastic face to face, but to attempt sarcasm online via a forum is a very tricky thing and if not done properly can lead to extremely hurt feelings. This was very bad form on your part and if you and I are both accepted for this adventure I will refuse to participate in the adventure on principle due to your childish behavior towards one of my friends.

Would probably be best just to shut up an apologize. If its really just a meaningless issue that's been blown out of proportion then that shouldn't be a problem. Cleary you offended Paro, and others, without meaning to. The best response in these situations is typically to simply apologize with no further attempt to justify one's self, it makes the apology seem insincere.

Joking and sarcasm aside, would you walk up to a complete stranger in public and inform them that you thought they looked funny? Most people wouldn't, because they understand that it's rude. While not face to face, this is a similar situation. In fact one could even argue that this is an even worse environment in which to exhibit such behavior as the nature of forums does not allow for certainty that all readers will understand your intent. Clearly this is an example in which your intent has been misunderstood.

I don't think Paro compared you all, they merely noted what is said in grade school. I believe that mentioning grade school was meant to imply the childish nature of the situation (i.e. if certain comments could have been withheld then this conversation wouldn't even be occurring).

1) not behind anybody's back, it was in the open ooc forum, not insulting the app of the player at all, merely making an off comment in context (And the context was: I was thinking about a little cute werebat girl, Bot tried to confuse me with some bat into bat into bat forms or something, then the comment was made of how easy a druid could change into bat, and I made a comment about how not cute Caitlin (the chosen photograph to represent her) was) about the barby-ness of the photo.
2)You are blowing this way out of proportions, no need.

Again, no need, I like the quality of the photo, and she looks (as far as female half cats go) quite realistic, does not mean to say I would marry/ date or what ever you had in mind (your mind, not mine) a fictive representative photo of a half cat-half women.
This comment only fuels onto of the ongoing discussion, and really there was no need to snipe like this.

Shut up? excuse me? if its so innocent and meaningless, I will not apologize, the Dm already had commented on my comment in private and said no real harm was done, now these discussions only fuel to break it more and more out of proportions.

This is not the same as in real life, this context is in a gaming forum and with make belief characters, most players are male, and I am sure that photo is not his own, as she reminds me of Jessica Alba.
Read my sig plz. I made an off comment in a "funny" discussion about shapechanging and cute girls, not something that would happen in real life I guess, well, not with a woman like Jessica and me telling her she looks barby-ish (which imo she does at times.) and I doubt very much so she would react like this, even though I do not know her personally so can't judge that..

Just as an off remark as mine, I interpret it otherwise.

So because you consider something to be "porn-like" it's your manifest destiny to put the poster in their place? Careful, your hubris is showing.

Seriously, if you could stop being defensive long enough to make a sincere apology to Paro, I'm certain that he and his friends would be happy to forgive the slight and move on.

I will not apologize, they break it out of proportions.

I have said enough, the subject is done and done, I refuse to be drawn along any longer, as this is really unnecessary, I've tried to ask nicely if it could be dropped, they just drag it along.

Can we stop the bickering please? This back and forth is only hurting your chances of being accepted. If you can't get along now I doubt you'll be able to get along in game.

apologies to the DM, I should have used the private messaging system for such a discussion.

Are you still looking for players? I realize I'm a little late to the show, but I'm very interested.
