Game Description:

You were dumped unceremoniously upon the well trampled earth as your momentum finished carrying you through the door way. While it took a moment for you to gather your senses together, as you looked about you instantly knew where you were- and dread set in. High arching glorious buildings sat alongside spiraling Elven architecture, which sat alongside squat rocky dwarven adobes- which sat away from but next to goblinoid hovels. The landscape curved upwards and in the far, far distance you could make out the landscape turning back on itself.

Sigil.

Gods be damned. You were in the Cage- and you were already gathering attention as you dusted yourself down. Your attention was drawn to the street as a skippy young female tiefling bounded her way up to you- a smile planted upon her face.

"Welcome to Sigil, berks! The city of doors greets you!"

This will be a long, long urban campaign based in the City of Doors. Do not expect fast level progression, do not expect a quick campaign end, DO expect lots of social interaction, manipulation, political maneuvering, rooftop chases, skill tests and overreaching plots that will change the face of Sigil.

Melee types will be out of place but still useful, skill monkeys will be desired, caster types are fine provided their unique skill set is geared towards the setting.

Please consider this when applying.

Races can be varied but a three fold mix of ridiculousness is not as appreciated as I'm sure you want it to be. It's level 8 and a slow campaign so you'd be better off with class levels than race.

LA Buy off is NOT in effect.

Planar Handbook (or Manual of the Planes, I think that's 3.0 though).

Also, not meaning to pester over sources, but are Frostburn/Stormwrack/Sandstorm/Cityscape/Dungeonscape allowed? The first three might be appropriate for our origins, and Cityscape appropriate for Sigil itself.

You just killed the concept, lol.

Could I refluff, crossbow's/ crossbow pistols to "firearms, in just looks?, stats stay the same? or is the concept of bullets to modern for you?

Golden Army, I meant the fluff of the movie, not the character Hellboy himself.
no Archivist but u do allow psionics/ mages? yhmmz.

Cool about variant classes.

This is why I had to kill it. Bullets/firearms are just too modern. ....What about a big "gun" that shoots bolts not bullets- like a single hand repeater crossbow?

Can you hold a feat until a higher level? For instance, if you want a feat that requires you to be 4th, can you save your 3rd level feat for it? I had a DM allow it once, and his logic was that the PHB doesn't explicitly say you CAN'T, so he didn't see why not. Figured I'd ask.

I was toying with the idea of an awakened animal, but kind of gave up when I couldn't figure out how to do it in Hero Lab. It wouldn't be too out of place. But more likely I'd probably go with something like an Aasimar Paladin and/or Monk. I figure since there would be slow advancement that I wouldn't have to worry much about a Monk being underpowered, and I had toyed with the idea of an unarmed Paladin before. But really, I just like Celestials and I enjoy playing Good characters who are actually good/benevolent.

Bolts? nah, just doesn't cut it for me, your killing the fluff to much, thats the whole reason of the concept, system used I don't care much about.
Time to change the concept I guess a bit.
