1st Journal entry into the study of my dreams, November 18, 2012
When we dream we sometimes become other people instead of ourselves, I am one of those people. I myself have taken the likeness of a smaller, more petite, angrier, less attractive, and less intelligent version of who I would like to be myself. From what I have been able to discern from my reoccurring dreams this is what I have learned about Alexandria Wolfmother:

Born into a world where she wasn’t wanted, or at least abandoned unintentionally Alexandria was adopted into a tribe of what I can best describe as Neanderthals. Not in the sense that they are knuckle dragging, slope headed idiots, but that they are less than advanced compared to others in the dream world that I visit. The only reason that they have been able to survive this long so far is that they are excellent hunters, gatherers, and especially warriors. When the warriors of the tribe go into battle it is truly a fearsome sight, they get their selves worked into a frothing blood rage and ultimately destroy those that come against them or those monstrous little things they refer to as goblins and larger uglier creatures known as orcs.

Alexandria was training to become one such warrior when her adopted father, Ulrich the Ugly, fell in battle saving another tribesman. Because Alexandria was not of adult age she was readopted by the clan’s shaman, a woman of great power and little patience, especially for the raging warrior caste. It took some time but even Alex learned to cool her temper enough that Broomhilda Ravenfeather could stand to be in the same room with her and began training her in the arts of shaman-hood. Apparently only women of the tribe could become shamans, be this from the caste break-down or because men would be considered weak for opening themselves to magic, but that is how the tribe seemed to be from what I have seen so far.

The breakdown of the tribe is interesting; sure there are the usual castes: Hunters, Gatherers, Warriors, and the religious leaders, but what stands out is how with all of these different castes not a one really looks down on the others. The one exception being warriors and the religious leaders: There is something that the warriors find intimidating about being able to conjure mystical things from thin air, and the religious leaders, or shamans look down on the warriors because any buffoon can pick up a rock and smash something with it.

I continue to look forward to these dreams so that I can uncover more about Alexandria and what it is about her that I find so intriguing. She is not obviously beautiful, she is not especially smart, but there is something about her that screams out for me to learn. I will continue my study of the young woman and keep detailed notes about her to better learn her story, that of the tribe, that of the dream world, and why it is that I have been having these reoccurring dreams. There has got to be more to all of this, of that I am certain.

Why thank you LD. It's a product of my OCD I guess being organized... It's either OCD or it's the product of being the mother of a 3 year old and having to keep everything spotless.

As far as the signature: I may play serious characters, but that's only because I live a very fun life and have a 'little' sense of humor.

@HumanFighter Aha, I see what you did there

I'm wondering about the buckler and studded leather armor... druids aren't allowed metal shields or armor or they lose their powers for 24 hours...is the buckler a wooden one and the studded leather studded with bone or something? Just want to know to get a clear idea before the game starts.

@Neylana Cool, a monk application. As a side note, inspiration for this game is probably from Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge, who did his PhD thesis on lucid dreams, as well as the novels Mirror Dreams and Mirror Wakes, by Catherine Webb.

Description (optional): Tall, with deep brown, contemplative eyes. Speaks softly, but with sincerity and resolve. These days, tries to be more thoughtful and dignified than is her nature, with mixed results.

History (optional): Most young women would be wounded if their fathers had chosen their younger brother to inherit their place in the tribe, but Hasana understood. Well, she threw a fit at the time . . . But her father was a wise and respected elder of the tribe; her brother Anuja would have been an even greater man, a kind, patient soul and a spectacularly gifted healer. Honoring of a child of peace over an ambitious, born warrior was a statement, an important one that shocked and resounded with the entire tribe. But then her brother was taken by the shadows. Perhaps that too was a statement.
Though Hasana does not doubt for a second her duty to protect the tribe from the dark forces conspiring against them, she wonders if the spirits would have preferred to lead Anuja to glory, and if she can ever fill the place he left behind.

(In the 'real world' 14 year old Danny is also coping with the loss of his slightly younger brother. The story seems an exaggeration of his own grief and anxieties, though Danny was actually the "smart one", while his brother was an athlete.)

Expected posting rate for this game: I can probably do a post a day, I can do a really good post probably every other or every third day. Expect posting to improve drastically after finals.

The book says that druids can wear studded leather, but if it makes you feel better I can go with leather. I can't use hide armor because then I loose the fast movement of the barbarian.

The buckler is wooden, yes
