Should White Men Stop Writing?

That's why I am of the opinion that, instead of discouraging people from expressing aspects of a culture that they aren't from, we should be encouraging education in the cultures of other people, so that when people want to express an aspect of a foreign culture, they can do so respectfully and with a degree of technical "correctness."
That happens to be my opinion as well. A world where nobody dares participate in another culture's practices is the dream of racists, not the dream of progressive people.
Conversely, a world where everyone can join the practices of another culture, provided they do so respectfully, is a world where members of different cultures are more likely to understand and respect each other.

And either way, the way to get water is by mixing hydrogen and oxygen. Well, that or you're going to need way too much energy. In purely economic terms, if you have that much energy, you're better off exporting it, or exporting products created with it, and importing water!

While you could
read, I'm not sure and the issues with the other component are enough on their own
maybe rely on oxygen from the air, hydrogen is really hard to store in anything approaching a compact form. And even liquid hydrogen has
not to mention needing to be kept in pressurized containers at about 20 degrees Kelvin
very low density which means you'd
see the note on maybe
probably need a bigger container than the amount of water you're going to get.
In short, it's much easier and resource-efficient to get water from, you know, all the water on Earth that covers 71% of the planet's surface!

However, cleaning existing water in your area so that it is fit for drinking is much more efficient and more sensible in most situations. Which is something the poster whose post led to all this technological discussion posted.

However, it would seem that in the near future there will be things that not everyone will be able to possess, so things will still need to be distributed.

This and TheFred's post that immediatly followed it on the first page sum up my feelings on the matter quite nicely.

And I'd like to add I say this as someone of a mixed background which is 50% Hispanic and Mediterranean.

No...

The point is that technology once believed impossible has become possible decades down the line, in regards to secret agents cow insistance that anyone who thinks water might get 3D printed one day is "stupid", when "unlikely" is a much more apt word for expressing his skepticism. That's the point. And it's a true one, proven time and time again. What you're seemingly trying to do is change the subject by holding up obscure individuals in history and claiming that because they said something that centuries later became true then their mentality was the standard of everyone else alive at the time. Not only is that an extremely feeble premise but it is, in regards to my point to SAC, missing the forest through the tree's.

Socialism is not the same as Marxism weregeek85, but don't you think that having better healthcare that costs less and lesser wealth gap is worth emulating, even if it leads to some ideological debates?

Cleansing existing water is smarter, yes, which is why people are doing it. I was talking about the concept of printing water, which made me laugh.

But on the other hand, our cancer patients don't have to go cook crystal meth.

But, y'know, it's all about what you prefer. We choose to keep our sick and poor alive and at a human-worthy level of living, you choose to keep your rich wealthy... It's all about preference really.

Yeah, let's not start insulting everyone from certain countries. Criticizing practices is one thing; painting everyone with the same broad stroke is unacceptable. This is the final warning to cool it down or the thread gets closed and offenders get sanctioned.

No shit, Sherlock. But I'm not the one who claimed they were the same thing.

Or does MonkWren get a pass for being a mod?

As for lower healthcare costs and blah blah blah, you run out of other peoples' money eventually, as demonstrated by this figure I already linked. The only countries not in a debt crisis are the ones too poor for the massive social safety nets of the West, or so fat with oil their sheiks buy gold-plated frikkin Hummers.

...you do realize that was a TV show and not a documentary?

...right?
