Owen Granger is one of my favourite TV characters.

So, yesterday it was announced that Gabe the Dog, the adorable mutt behind the wonderful Bork meme, passed away. Having lost my own dog, I know how heart breaking the experience can be, so my condolences go out to his family, as well as my gratitude. Their recordings of that adorable little fluff ball have led to the creation of hundreds of ridiculous and wonderful musical remixes that have been viewed by millions of people all across youtube. For me personally, no matter how sad I got, or bad things in my life seemed te be, checking out some video of Gabe borking always, without fail, made me smile. He was such an internet sensation, he was even mentioned on a segment of Japanese TV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D895N9ykWIA).

Gabe may be gone, but his memes, and the joy he brought to millions, myself included, will never cease. His borking belongs to the ages, now. He is leading the choirs in Dog Heaven.

And now, please enjoy a selection of some of my very favourite borks, by such a good dog.

Rest in Peace Gabe. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you.

Well at least with him being only 6 years old, we hopefully have our youngest death of the year.

...sorry that was in poor taste...just trying to look on the bright side.

He was actually older than that; his owner said he was already a senior dog when they picked up from the shelter and he spent six years with them.

We won't know his true age; if he was abandoned, there's no accurate record, but he was probably at least 12 if not more.
