Background:
Your mother dying giving birth to you is never an auspicious way to begin your life. Such was the beginning for Eleana Farwynd. Her mother died giving birth to her, and she grew up in the company of two older brothers and a doting father whom was slowly beginning to wither away as well. From a young age she knew that sooner or later she'd truly be alone in the world. Nothing lasts forever, especially your family. As such, Eleana learned to love other things... books, stories and fables of the olden days.

Since her childhood Eleana has loved stories of the old days when magic was in the air and dragons flew around, only to be fought by valiant knights whom were always honourable and kind. Under the careful tutelage of of Maester Haldor, she learned to read the classics, though she has yet to learn other languages than the common tongue of Westeros. With such reading, it was inevitable that her thoughts would turn to magic and its usage. However like so many maesters and petty sorcerers, she failed to cast even the simplest of cantrips. Forlorn, she turned to her dreams for support... only to discover the world of mystery denied to most.

Waking up in the middle of the woods that surround Portown, she found herself laying against a weirwood tree with a white eagle as beautiful as any she had ever seen gazing down at her with fierce eyes. Strangely, she was not afraid at all. Heading home, she bid farewell to the magical tree and made her way back home to tell her family of her amazing experiance. She didn't get very far until the search parties found her and brought her to her relieved father. Attempts at telling him were met with a steely gaze and harsh words. Her father made her promise that she would never again leave Portown alone without an escort.

Sullen and angry, Eleana had to experience the horror of knowing her father would die first hand, first in her dreams and then in the waking world. Now with only her brothers and the kind Maester Haldor to keep her company, she wonders what life has in store for her next. Perhaps she could convince one of her brothers or the Maester, a man of the North to take her to the tree again? If for nothing else, to get at least one good nights sleep.
